I do get paid, but not for watching aircraft. Although I do lots of spotting in my boss' time. And I also have the privilege of getting inside the aircraft and have ramp access. But this is all because of my job at Schiphol airport.abishay wrote: Do you get paid.
Spotting is a hobby, something you do just for fun. It's not a job, so you don't get paid for it.
The terrain where we practise with our driving school students lies directly below the flightpath of RWY 20 of Brussels.
So everytime RWY 20 is in use I practise a lot of manoeuvres
Than I get paid and can watch the planes flying over with gear already down 8)

COOL!!! my driving teacher (who is a girl)... is now a good friend of me hehee. I had the time to know her very well. I missed my driving license 4 times, but the 5th time, i got it 
Each time, i was so nervous, and stressed that i failed... When i succeeded, it was the happiest day of my life! i drove the whole night, listening to my favourite songs!!!
