tax-free travel-value at BRU

Post by SN_fan »

I found this on the vueling site

The airport’s duty-free is not very good and the prices, even without taxes, are higher than in the city, except maybe for alcohol and tobacco products

And you know what it's true!!!!

Yep, indeed I don´t think the prices in BRU are that much cheaper then in outside the tax free area. But a lot of passengers don´t think about that. They think it is cheaper and they just buy.

indeed intra eu flights are never tax-free but to compensate that they invented travel value for intra eu.

By travel value the taxes are paid by (except for alcohol and tobacco)
- the store (Belgian sky shops)
- biac
- product developer

in theory

But I think that they raised the price of the tax-free products to compensate that. so tax-free prices up so that the travel value prices didn't had to lower much.
But also on alcohol a saw a bottle of 180 euro tax free and 184 euro tax paid ??? yeah right 4 euro taxes on a 180 euro bottle.

They are just "steeling" from the customers who had the right on tax-free
