A check of the BA LHR-YYZ flights revealed that BA will operate the B744, B772 and the B763 on its three daily flights.
The BA097 is scheduled as a daily B763, while the BA093 and BA099 are operated by B772 or B744.
However: when the BA093 is a B744, the BA099 is a B772. And vice versa. So you will see all BA widebody aircraft types on a daily base in YYZ, not bad in my opinion!
For info: the longhaul B763's will have the new cabins, as the last B763 has been dusked already (or is about to be dusked). And the last BA B763 to get the new interior is not a LHR based aircraft (it's G-BNWH operating the daily MAN-JFK).

Frederic

It's up to you to find this info! I'm sorry but if you don't understand something it's up to you to do the research! If we have to explain everything it will just be a kiddie forum for newbies! That's no-one's aim and as you may have noticed some kids who posted plenty of kiddie things have recently gone very quit! Must have been told off by admins!twinsen wrote:Ok, a quick search on google learns that YYZ means Toronto, but for the newcomers among us, it'd be a whole lot more convenient if you mention the full airport name! Some topics are often hard to read for people new to this forum! 8)
To summarize my position it's you that should adapt yourself to the ABC of aviation, not the opposite way round! I would even suggest you to create a new topic named "where can I find useful info which should help me understand the aviation world better"
Back to the topic though! I wouldn't complain if I were you! Here at BRU we only get 767's from boeing on passenger flights! Would love to see 777's or 744's but unfortunately yeah far to big for poor little BRU

we should try to get more transfer passengers to BRU to fill a Jumbo no,?
If you see the figures on http://www.macquarie.com.au/au/map/acro ... ussels.pdf
2001: 5 690 000 transfer
2003: 1 400 000 transfer

By a show of hands, who knows ALL the airport codes worldwide? I'm not asking for a newbie forum and (as I've mentioned before) I do know where to find information. It's only good practice to make posts a little bit more readable.
Some people on this forum tend to abbreviate every single word, maybe by force of habit, maybe for the pure sake of scaring of newbies or showing off their aviation knowledge. Perhaps an introductionary exam is in order here before one can enjoy this forum?
Anyhow, my comments are not personal to the people in this thread, besides the airport code, the topic was ok to read. I also believe that when people use abbreviations, no harm or show-off was intended.. Justed wanted to say that it's sometimes frustrating to read some people's posts..
Edit: back on topic: I'd also love to see bigger planes at EBBR, it's just a pitty when big birds don't get fully loaded..

Indeed, the longhaul B763's have the new cabins installed.heathrow wrote:So It will be nice and new? I've done BA97 on a 772, and BA92 on a 744, so It may be nice to try they 763.....if it's a new cabin!!!
The only B763's that won't get the new interior, are those aircraft used for the European short- and medium haul network (like flights to Athens, Larnaca, Madrid, Frankfurt,...)
@twinsen: I understand your posting, and indeed: nobody knows the meaning of all those codes. But... I have to say that looking those codes up is the best way to learn them!

Airlinecodes.co.uk is a very good website to find IATA/ICAO codes.twinsen wrote:By a show of hands, who knows ALL the airport codes worldwide? Yes ok but that is completely misleading! That's when good old Sabena still existed. It had a doomed strategy to make BRU a european Hub! Most travellers were cost conscious low fare seeking passengers, which obviously affected yields and thus profits!SN_fan wrote:we should try to get more transfer passengers to BRU to fill a Jumbo no,?

@Twinsen don't take me wrong I also struggle(d) sometimes but it gets better and better as the time goes by! I now know YYZ but for most airport codes I have to check on airlinecodes as well! Keep consulting google wikipedia... U get tons of info and it makes you more knowledgable!

Thanks guys. Maybe it will be nice to try....
Look mate. This is an aviation site, meaning we use aviation terms. As it was said before, if you don't understand the codes, look them up. It's what I do. I know most major IATA codes and I'm only 14. As said before http://www.airlinecodes.co.uktwinsen wrote:By a show of hands, who knows ALL the airport codes worldwide? I find this site very, very helpful, I use it all the time: BTW Jense I like your avatar
The 767s with the new cabins are great! Ast for an 'A', 'B', 'F', 'G', as these are great pairs of seats, one is isle and one is window. The IFE is good aswell, and because it is quite cecently put in it is more reliable. I think the 767s have a better than normal seat pitch aswell, as it said 32", I think the normal is 31"
