The reason the 'n' is missing on the tail is that the rudder is already in the new colours and is balanced, one less job for QAPS in AMS to do, meaning it will be a quick paint job, as they do not need to remove the rudder anymore,
And I can confirm that the Virgin B737 OO-VEX indeed arr at Amsterdam this evening, arr empty from BRU as 'VEX110P' at 1854A. For the moment it is parked on Schiphol-Oost but will be transfered to the QAPS paintshop.

HI!
As I will travel with Virgin this 24 dec I was wondering if I may expect to travel on it or will it be not ready?
Another question: does one of you have any idea if OO-VBR will be repainted in red soon?
And where do they get the money for painting all the planes? :s Thought they had a little money to short? ANyway , it's reaaaaaly nice! Too bad they didn't fitted OO-VBR with winglets , if I'm not mistaking it would be the first B737-400 with winglets than?

As VEX will only equipt it's -300 fleet with winglets, there wasn't a chance VBR would get them.

Dear Yannick.
It indeed costs money to paint a plane. But it has to be done every now and then. It was time for OO-VEX to go in the paint shop so no extra expenses.
Then as Airbus_fan said Virgin will only fit the -300 fleet with winglets
Oh , ok , well I don't know wetter it's OO-VEX but there is One Virgin Express plane wich is kind a worn out if concerns paint , it looks like there is ice on the top :s Really badly needed a paint job.
Anyway , what concerns the fact that only the -300's will be equipped with the winglets...A little bit a pity I think , would be a early product (Primeur)/The first airline with B734 equipped with winglets , but maybe there isn't a program to equip the 400's with winglets yet? Let's hope it will come , can't wait to see TUB's B737-400's having them than too

Don't get your hopes on it. The program was originally intended for both 737-300 and 737-400. When the 737-300WL got certified, Boeing noticed that not many airlines were interested in the 737-classic-WL and the program was stopped even before an 737-400 test-aircraft was equipped.
Keep in mind that OO-VEX is only the second -300 with winglets after EC-IPS, which has been flying around for over 2 years, meaning that the project was all but a big success ...
Personally, I think there won't be many more conversions of -300's in the world as most airlines are starting to switch to 737NG's which come directly with winglets (if desired). I think we should enjoy the view at EBBR of 737-300WL's as it will be a rare sight in the Civil Aviation Business.
