Special EVA Air stop tonight!

Post by Jean »

People,

Some inside info :)

If you want to see a nice Boeing 777-300ER on Brussels aiport, you might want to head out to Zaventem this evening 13 dec 05 around 23.30 when our EVA AIR Boeing from London will be making a stop in Brussels to pick up fuel., on its way to BKK and TPE.

Normal apron to fuel up is 60 or in front of Brucargo building 703.
Unconfirmed messages indicate that the plane might stopover here at BRU for 3 days or more due to the problems in London.

Come and see, but don't touch :)

greetz,

Jean

That must be great. It seems that Brucargo will receive some special flights this week.

I loved to see that B777-300 of EVA Air. Hopefully he will stay long enough at Bru so that I can take a picture of it at the end of this week.

It might stop as well upon returning from TPE and BKK, then it would be here around 6 pm, but this is not sure...

:( No EVA Air at Brucargo today :(

The apron at Brucargo was completely empty.
While I was waiting a A319 from Aeroflot (flight SU232 with destination Moscow SVO) departed on RWY 25R.

Looking at the A-terminal you can see that it was very busy(planes at every gate)

I did not stay too lang because my hands were freezing again.
I kept following traffic while driving home but no EVA only DHL flights.

Maybe next time

Nice ones Marc

Indeed, the EVA was B-16702, but flew directly to (waypoint?) esati, a little bit further than LUX (If I'm right)

My apologies to all concerned as my company did not hold their promisse and did not stop in BRU on 13 dec.

The EVA 777 is scheduled to halt tonight here, but i don't dare hoping it will...

I will make sure my colleagues take pictures then to make things up ;)

bye

A NOTAM has been issued about the fuel problems at LHR, all flights leaving LHR do not get the amount of fuel they want.

Airlines are required to fuel their aircraft as much as possible before departure to LHR, so that you don't need as much fuel as normal when you want to depart LHR.

Making a stopover (like BR at BRU apparently) has been advised if you aren't able to thank as much as you need.

 pfffffffffffffffff

I don't know why but it flew right by us again yesterday evening, i don't know what will happen the next couple of days but don't count on it. FYI The 777-200ER can't be parked at Brucargo aprons as het is TOO long, normally they would park him at the old satelite 3, parking spot 303, so you wouldn't be able to see him :(

sorry guys

I have a question for Jean,

Why could the Eva Air B777-300 not parked at the Brucargo appron? The lenght of this aircraft is lower then the B747-400 who stands every day at Brucargo.

Eva Air is one of the cargo airlines at Brucargo who wants to replace the MD11 by the freighter version of the B777 for BRU in the future. So, that's why I have some questions about it.

Nop, the 773 is longer:
B747-400ER overall lenght: 242 ft (73.9 m)
B777-300ER overall lenght: 231 ft (70.6 m)

the alternative is to park the a/c abeam the cargo terminal,as they do with an124, but this takes at least two normal positions.

Maybe it's because I had maths exam today, but as far as I know 70 meters is shorter than 73 and not reversed...
