Perhaps, but I'm sure he doesn't mind I did it. It's not a secret, is it?

Thanks for clearing this out Bart MD-11, I would love to stay secret behind my nickname but too late for it ;-)

Mr. Olieslagers: Here is another image where my tie is better placed ;-)

Me too  im looking to get a job in the holidays but not anything to do with aviation (maybe in mcdonalds) i wish i could get an aviation job at this age :(

You guys are so lucky you even get to fly in a plane :D so long since my last long haul flight from FACT-YSSY i wish i could even get a job of even looking at planes or spotting even cleaning i would be so happy coz i will get to go inside the plane :? But my dad works at YSSY as a receiver of refugees who cant speak any english and interprate because of the languages he can speak.

When you guys talk about flying planes in real life or working with anything to do with real life aviation i feel like im useless :(

Hope its aviation coz you will be wasting your time. :D I only say this because i saw some flight sim forumers who have and fly flight simulator but they do it for fun but they dont have any interest in aviation.

WOOOW!!!!!!!!! Your sooooo lucky Bart !!!

Crazy, you must fly a lot!!!

The only time i was involved with aviation was in the Swiss Army. At 16 i tried to do the exams to be a fighter pilot. But i failed in the beginning. I was so crazy about planes, I wanted to be an astronaut hehe, and also my grand father was a RAF pilot during WWII ...
If you knew me in real life, you would probably say it's the best that i am not in a military aircraft

So when i was 21, i finally had to go to the swiss army, and they put me "flight soldier", so i could have a chance to work with aircraft... But they put me in the Kitchen of Payerne Air Force airport. But i was expelled after 1 week, because i refused to carry a Weapon, and wasn't sleeping at night, i was vegeterian and everything ehehhe... Army was just NOT for me :D

And now, i change subject:
I have a question to Bart Luchtzak.

So you're a Flight Attendant, so you fly A lot.
I just have a question. I know that Air travelling is the safest of travelling. I just wonder if you are never scared ?

I was never really afraid of planes. But my girlfriend is So scared, and each time we fly together, it's a nightmare... So, now i am scared as well (when i am with her, alone, it's a pleasure ehhehe)...

So How do you feel when the plane is really shaky? Once i was the bumpiest flight ever, An Easy-Jet Gatwick to Geneva. So passengers were kind of screaming. An the Stewardess were on the back, were all laughing trying to play Sudoku, but the plane was moving so much, that they couldn't write the number properly... So then i laughed as well and it cheered me up :D

I would be really interested to "hear" your point of view!!! ehehe

To be honest I don't fly every day of the month, this month for example I work 13 days. The rest is holiday and the so-called weekend-off: it's the thing you have Saturday and Sunday, we have it e.g. on Wednesday and Thursday, it all depends on the schedule you get. Schedules are different every other day, if you are really interested I will explain more soon but only if you are very interested ;-)

Now about the fear of flying: I know that it is more dangerous to come with your car to work than to fly an aircraft, besides the Belgian (European, most of the) pilots have examinations and medical tests every 6 months.

Turbulence is a normal happening while flying, some turbulences might be severe but pilots are always under control of the situation. Wings are built to 'accept' severe bumps and turbulences. That's why passengers have to listen to the crew: seatbelts on and no worries ;-)

I'd be very interested if you could explain how everything works! Flight attendants schedules, maximum working time day/week, everything you know basically!

But that would require quit a lot of work and thinking so hope people will ask you the same thing to boost your motivation in doing so :)

I came in a new class this year at school and when I told that like planes and plane-spotting it seemed to be that they never heard about that someone has this "weird" hobby. But it's something more special than cars or football

You should have joined the Virgin Express Tsunami flight on january the 8th, 2005. 40 minutes on low altitude in stormy weather.
Too bad that my stomach was protesting because I myself found it very pleasent. :D
About fear of flying... read my text below the line
