Fedex could buy it but it's far, far larger than the C-208s, larger than their ATR-72s for that matter.

Indeed, it looks like a crumbed fish! :D
Also, here in France we got a smaller similar plane called Skylander. Sadly, it was previously stated it will be made in Tarbes, but they finally choose Portugal 'cause of workers are payed less there! Shame

Ghana approves, then restricts, then suspends & revokes Afra Airlines' ACL

The Ghana government first approved, then restricted, then suspended and finally revoked Afra Airlines' ACL.
Afra Airlines' management is so forced to reduce overheads and re-focus its business primarily outside of Ghana.
As a result of the decisions by the Government, Afra Airlines felt it had been compelled to lay off 50% of its staff members.
Mr. Luke Butler's, the Chief Executive of Afra Airlines, the company that is said to be in competition with the Mormons-owned Ghana International Airlines, which has Dr. Richard Anane and Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani as principal supporters (as per info sent to me) passport has been seized by the Ghana Immigration Service. Mr Butler was facing severe intimidation and had been frustrated by the actions of the immigration authorities because certain questions that had been raised had not been answered by the authorities. Read the story below.

Mr Butler was encouraged (by the Ghanian President?) to come and invest in Ghana's project for a new airline, and had subsequently moved his entire family to Ghana.
Readers -413 till today - of these columns will quickly undertsand. See ttp://www.luchtzak.be/article8833.html
Ghana's government is itself involved in a other new airline.

Remember also we had a dicssion on the feasibilty of Mr Luke Butler' ghanian aviation initiative?
See: https://www.aviation24.be/posts8543-highlightbutler.html
But following a ban placed on Mr Butler by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) from managing corporations for three years, his efforts to do business in the Ghanaian aviation sector had so far been unsuccessful. That ban followed upon a mishap with Australian Global Air.
In July 2003, the Japanese Government won a multi-million dollar compensation claim against Global Air Leasing for reneging on a deal to extradite members* of a terror group from the Middle East.
The court heard Global Air Leasing pulled out of the deal at the last minute, citing maintenance problems with the 20-year-old jumbo jet it intended to use for the flight.
As a result, the Japanese government had to lease an aircraft from Russian-based Aeroflot.
Global Air Leasing argued it was not liable because the Japanese government intended to use the aircraft to carry out illegal kidnappings.
Global Air Leasing was ordered to pay $US6 million to Japan for failing to honour an agreement to fly the five terrorists from Jordan in March 2000.

:?: *A jumbo to carry five terrorists from Jordan to Japan?
btw, if you have info on that, please let us know.

Benin Airlines & Utilicraft Aerospace LOI for 100 Feeder Freighters

(Cotonou, Benin Africa – December 2, 2005) -– Benin Airlines, SA - Today officials of Benin Airlines SA, and Utilicraft Aerospace Industries, Inc., executed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for 100 of Utilicraft’s FF-1080-300 ER (Extended Range) Freight Feeder aircraft, with an option on an additional 100.

The initial 100 aircraft transaction is valued at $1.35 Billion USD and has been secured by an initial $5.0M good faith deposit from Benin Airlines to Utilicraft’s lawyers today.

The agreements between the two Companies grant Benin Airlines exclusive Distributorship and a Final Assembly rights for a period of 25 years.

The Distributorship Agreement appoints Benin Airlines as the exclusive FF-1080-300 distributor for Africa and specific Middle East markets, including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Baharain, and Lebanon.

The Final Assembly Agreement will grant Benin Airlines the right to complete final assembly-kits of the Aircraft purchased by Benin Airlines.

Benin Airlines plans to locate their Final Assembly facility in either Africa, or one of the Middle East regions mentioned above.

Utilicraft will complete Final Assembly of the “kits” shipped to Benin Airlines at its planned facilities at Double Eagle II Airport in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The FF1080-300 ER version of the aircraft is the same basic airframe of the -300 currently under development by Utilicraft Aerospace, but with a 10,000 gross weight increase to 80,000 lbs. This increase will allow the Aircraft to carry additional fuel for a max range of 2,000 nautical miles including IFR reserves, with 20,000 lbs., in containers, in five A-1, A-2, or A-3 containers, or ten LD3 containers, or a combination of containers and pallets measuring 88 in. x 125 in. each.

Benin Airlines intends to operate the aircraft as feeder freighters in the growing African and Middle East airfreight markets, to offer them on wet lease ACMI basis (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance included), as well as dry lease and sale.

About Benin Airlines SA:
Benin Airlines is new airline being formed to be the first genuine low cost African airline to operate direct flights across sub-Saharan Africa and to Europe, Middle East, and the Americas commencing operations in second quarter 2006. Benin Airlines is a private company formed with an investment of $250M. Launch operations include 2 x 747-200F cargo aircraft, 2 x 747-400 and 5 x 737-300 passenger aircraft.

About Utilicraft Aerospace Industries
Utilicraft Aerospace Industries, Inc., (UAI) was formed, in 2004, to target the significant problem of addressing the overnight express, international supply chain, e-commerce, and global third party logistics entities, inability to provide effective “containerized” fulfillment and distribution in the medium haul (or feeder) route segments of air cargo. The result of the Company’s research and development is a new air vehicle, the FF-1080-300 Freight Feeder aircraft, capable of cost-effectively carrying standard industry air containers on medium range/medium density routes, combined with an on-board integrated air cargo information and tracking system.

I'm not sure who is the bigger conman, Dupont or Butler!

You can't tell me that this is not a scam to raise funds for Utlicraft to raise more $$$ just to pay Dupont's crazy salary.

Butler's MOI isn't worth a sheet of toilet paper.

He is a sociopath. :P

FF-1080-300 or Rekkof, all simple websites, imaginary data and broken links. But no result. No hardware. No flights.
Last week it was announced that even for a chinese company it is now forbidden to sell land plots on the moon.
