Post by FedEx »

I'd appreciate your opinions please.

I'm planning a trip from the UK to New Zealand next year, i can't afford Business class so i was wondering who's the best to fly with when it comes to economy as it's a long long flight.

Thanks.

Singapore, Cathay Pacific, better a carrier which flies there via the east than one which flies via the USA. I won't elaborate further.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

I went down to NZ last year and flew with Malaysia Airlines in business, they had some pretty competitive fares then. I flew from Manchester which was cheaper, also with a KL stop over a discounted price for a 5* hotel. All I'm saying is don't rule business out, it can be cheaper than you think.
Hope this is of some help.

Emirates

PS Emirates' economy is the best I've flown in the world.

You could try Air New Zealand, despite what Comet says

If you want same-plane service, try NZ; if you want to get to New Zeland
quicker, I think CX did advertise that their service would be the quickest.

Also, CX is voted as the "Airline of the Year 2005", and "World's Best
Airline"...anyway, take your pick.

ps. I won't suggest EK unless you want great iFE coz they don't even
have nonstop DXB-AKL, you have to stop in SYD.

I think that the cheapest and efficient way to get to New Zealand is with QF. It's true that is possible for u to get a 2 stop flight(BKK and SYD) but the total duration of the flight(with connections) is about 25-26 hours that is same with a NZ(in u want to get to AKL - for CHC for example it could be faster) flight and I think that is more cheaper.

EK would be my first choice

I'd say QF or NZ, but QF would be my first. I of course would make seperate connections, and do VS to SYD, then Virgin Blue on

It all depends if you want to go eastwards or westwards
