As the link stated: Qaps, Amsterdam. Same place where the SN Avros are painted.

Hey

Indeed, red OOVBR should be on the tarmac in BRU right now
I flew the old but now best looking VEX plane to brussels this morning!
Furthermore, OO-VEX will leave SN Technics hangar in two weeks from now with its brand new winglets
Guess who will be the prettiest then!

It's a pitie that the only white plane of TV is painted in red. In my eyes that was something special...

Good question! Probably because the previous operator had a mainly white livery, but not sure on that one!

She's gonna look really good in that red: on the picture the colour seems so vivid!

as I found on plannespotters the previous operator of VBR was a Frech (bankrupt) carrier, she had reg. F-GMBR but at that time (1997) she was RED as you can see @ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/463435/M/ (and she stayed red until 2002?))
Before she was in service for the french, she was used by Asiana with reg. HL7256 as you can see
@ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/126533/M/

So that doesn't clear up the mystery about the former all-white TV a/c, who knows the true answer?

grtz,
Simon

I have pictures here of OO-VBR in the 'old' Virgin Express colors, se she hasn't been white since she got that reg. I have a personal theory about it being white ...

I think they leased it to other airlines during the winter period. That is why they painted it white. Maybe because the leasing Airline didn't want a full colored TV or maybe because TV didn't want to risk anything happening to a aircraft wearing TV colors ...

Well, don't know if this is true, but it's the only thing I can come up with.

 It also looks like OO-VBR has left the paintshop as a Fokker 50 is now inside !

Greetz,
