He came quite on time from Cancun yesterday, but he diverted to Liege due to the fog. That started another series of delays.

What kind of landings where required to land in BRU ? That B767 should be CAT III B and the crew as well !!

Because of fog at BRU on Saturday morning, the incoming flight from Cancun/Mexico had to divert to LGG. Normally, it would have been on time.

Flight to the Dominican on Saturday: thus delayed.

Flight to Hurghada: thus also delayed.

Second that.

Saw and heard him this morning over my house climbing in the skies when he was coasting out, between DENUT and LAM(bourne).

Apart of it's problems it's really continues to be a BEAUTYful aircraft...

Hi,

Just saw that it departed with only a small delay (45min) to Cancun/Varadero. The big technical problems seem to be gone for a little while now. Has anyone an idea of the issues being treated last weeks and if there's still work to be done on OO-TUC. I hope TUB can afford to pass it through a D-check in the near future.
I was glad to see a Belgian-operated 763 again after the absence of Sobelair and CityBird... Had my very first flight (BRU-LAX) on CityBird's OO-CTR so kinda like this type of a/c

Indeed, it's a magnificent aircraft, the 763 is also my favorite for long-hauls.

The flight of tomorrow is cancelled due to the hurricane Wilma.

According to Jetair, the travellers will be notified. It is not possible to perform extra flights because the airport of Cancun will be closed as of 20/1400z. Jetair will refund the accommodation expenses of those who have an extended holiday due to the hurricane, and will send an aircraft when it's possible.

Jetair

well i'm glad TUC seems ok again. i really think it's a beauty to. i flew it to jamaiaca in july and well, the soud of those GE's taking the beauty up sounds like music. i favour the 767 to for long haul. and TUC still is my favourite 767 8)

Long time our friend had a long delay:

departure 05/12 Montego Bay via Punta Cana TUB8103
06:05 scheduled
21:00 delayed

VTM (Flemish commercial television) had it in the 19h news; according to one passenger (which therefore is an unreliable source) there was a problem with the airco and a fuel leak.

I cannot believe Jetairfly / TUB would give such details about a technical to passengers, as it will make them nervous.

I suspect indeed a fuel leak. At 15hrs they were defueling the aircraft and pax where taken to various hotels in Brussels.
(poor passengers)
Î understand that is very very annoying and uncomfortable for the pax (have expercienced approx the same delay in the past) but they were (again) very rude and the lady from jetair came back with tears in her eyes. Some people just let it all out without really thinking about what it does to the people. It was not her fault that the aircraft was grounded! Gate crew and check-in crew often get all the sh*t while it is not at all their fault.

Don't tell me!!!!

I am working at the airport and i already have been in such
situations; it's far from pleasant, that i can assure you!!!!

Two years ago I had the same situation with an FQ A320 to Reus,
plane had engine troubles and after a 5 hour delay, flight was
cancelled!! I had to transfer all 180 pax on other flights:
* some 25 pax on the TUB flight to Reus
* 50pax on a chartered F50 of VLM
* some 65 pax on the VY flight to BCN with bustransfer to REU
* the remaining 40 pax on a chartered ERJ-145 of a British Company
(don't know anymore which one)
I had to make decisions which pax on which flight, not easy!!!!
When I got home after a 14 hour day of work (04h00-18h00),
I was pissed off and couldn't stand any noise!!

On the one hand I understand those pax, because such news is not
very pleasant to hear, certainly not when you save the money for
vacation and suddenly you loose one day, but as you said, the staff
can't help it, it's not our fault that a plane goes technical !!
But the ground staff is already the first one where pax can react to, and
blown some steam off;
I guess that's part of our job
