Thx for confirmation Fred,

today November 19, rather misty conditions but a few gaps were enough to see these birds:

around 1412LT a B747-400 of Nippon Cargo was cruising NNE. No ACAR reports for regi.
Image

around 1605LT an A330 of Monarch in n/c was heading home, presumable G-SMAN.

Hi Stef,

When I zoom in on the wing it seems to say JA02KZ.

I spotted a C-17 contrailing over Kortenberg around 13:07.

Regards, Robin Bamps.

I saw a lot of high altitude martinair cargo traffic heading west at the weekend, and decided to take some photos with my canon powershot A95. unfortunately, the results were poor, but you could see the red part of the fuselage.
I also saw a high altitude a330 which had red winglets and a red tail, with some sort of white text written on the tail.
any ideas what airline this might have been?

Over my area a frequent visitor: A330s of LTU, this one heading W & taken on Oct. 10 around 1411LT.

Today, Nov 22, a few gaps in the clouds giving these birds:

A330 of MEA, going to Heathrow, was taken around 1100LT. ACARS reports said it was F-OMEA.
Image

UAL B777 was going home, passing around 1237LT.

Temporary some nice breaks in the clouds on Nov. 23, here's a grip.

A B777-200 of Kuwait is heading for EGLL, taken around 1615LT.
Image

One of the many A340s of Lufthansa, taken around 1622LT.
Image

And one highlight, this B747SP A4O-SO of Oman, taken around 1624LT.

Hello

Nice shot Dirk!;) And lucky you could just capture it.

Always nice to see that good old 707 again , and certainly if it's an AWACS patrolling :P

Best regards: Yannick ;)

I guess this topic will reach the 10.000 views shortly  .

These dark days before X-mas we must be happy with a few sunny moments/week.
Today, Dec 01 was such day although the Cirrus laid a nervy thin curtain.

Three A340s in a row passed within 20 minutes:

1442LT Kuwait Airways 9K-ANB to Heathrow
Image

1444LT SriLankan 4R-ADC to Heathrow
Image

1502LT Royal Jordanian JY-AIA to Chicago

My pictures are taken with a EOS20D and a Sigma 50-500 mounted on a home made tripod that can hold all the weight of this equipment. (even with some winds)

Location: Bree (close to Kleine Brogel for an aviation related position)

I HAD   a picture of a C-17 high level with contrails that was escorted by two Belgian F-16s that where trailing as wel. Too bad I can't find it anymore

 When I posted my previous message I realised that I alrealdy posted this picture somewhere on the internet. And I found it!

This is a C-17 that was passing near Kleine Brogel on its way to englang via the TB-6 airway. Belgian F-16s (mostly the QRA) go sometimes to the TMA-D area ib the Netherlands to do VID (visual Identification) missions. Since the TB-6 runs directly trough the TMA-D pilots will see some C-5, C-17 and KC-135 aircraft. This all can been seen from Kleine Brogel.

I took this picture because I knew this was a USAF transport aircraft and when I looked at the picture I saw 2 F-16 behind it. Then I called to my work and they confirmed that it was the QRA from Florennes air base.

The second F-16 was flying more behind and is not seen on this picture. Sorry for the bad quality but is was hand held.
