I also agree, but we can't deny that things are going wrong. We allready made that mistake with Sabena... "the everything will be allright thought".
We must think positive but also realistic...

SLR001: seen your nickname, you probably like SLR a lot. Well, me too. But still you have to be realistic.

SLR operations will of course be heavily affected due to the TUI planns. TUI wants to start with 2 planes, I have no idea but can you run a profitable operation with only 2 planes?

Actually the only thing they can do is expand, and why not already before the summerseason!

When TUI would be happy with SLR, wouldn't they ask SLR to increase capacity, instead of doing it themself?

Please correct me if I am wrong somewhere, it is only my personal opinion...

SLR001, you seem to know what's going on at Sobelair. Why don't you share your knowledge with all of us? As long as you do not divulge confidential information...

Seeing their planning, TUI has made up their mind already.

Well , I won't hide that I have been angry while I was reading all those things about the future of Sobelair , I was really wondering if there was anybody happy about the bad actual situation about Sobelair

( guys don't worry I'm not accusing everybody )

Indeed , I love SLR a lot :!: , and I would be very disappointed if I see their planes on the ground one day ... but let's stat serious , and we will see ! :?

The plans at Sobelair ? Well , the situation is evolving rapidly and a decision should follow soon by the SLR directors , nobody excepted them knows what's going to happen exactly ... let's stay patient and as soon as I know something serious , I'll post it right here.

Kind regards

SLR001,

Would you know the results of the'informal' discussions of today between the SLR board and the president of the Court of Commerce, Ms Anne Spiritus-Dassesse (the lady judge that declared Sabena bankrupt...).

Here is the information published this morning (in French) in a Belgian newspaper: https://www.aviation24.be/ftopic1460-9.html

In short:

A Vastapane doesn't want to disclose what he said with Anne Spiritus-Dassesse. He still favours a co-operation with SN BA. He is currently discussing with three companies, one Belgian (SNBA) and two from abroad (Jordan and Iran). Sobelair will need fresh cash in December, but currently everything is paid and there is 8 to 10 million € available.

Hi all,

They also said some time ago that there is a chance to start flights to India, New Dehli ... Is this only a rumour or does anyone know more about it?

I don't know anything about flying to India from Sobelair

Yes, indeed: three weekly flights starting in April 2004. But no confirmation yet. See https://www.aviation24.be/ftopic1460.html

Blue airplanes? Like MNG and others that are also working for JetAir.
Didn't I spot a SLR B738 operating in jetair colors already ?

I don't understand how they can plan so far ahead
    with their actual situation.

    I suppose they will fly B763 ?

Life doesn't stop when business goes bad. Multitracking means you try to solve the problems of today, but you work on "what if" scenario's at the same time.

No matter how well SLR is doing : the fact that TUI announced their plans for a BRU operation will probably (negatively) influence the value of SLR if there are any negociations on take-over in any direction, with any party.

SLR remains a charter airline, that sells seats to TUI. TUI (JetAir) resells these seats to its customers in two ways: either as packages (complete wit hotels, transfers, etc.) or as flights only.

The law of supply and demand applies for the flights only option: if the plane is almost full, the seats will be expensive. If it is almost empty, look for a bargain.
