Will the passengers have to be properly packaged? And do they deliver door-to-door?

@ earthman
IMHO, with QC planes, it will not be necessary :-)
@acid-drop
I bet on the same horse than you: it's only the beginning!

It was expected that they could start ops from LGG. It will be hard competition. Also TC is flying from LGG to Barcelona.

Its nice to see that in the coming month's the pax numbers will be raise from the local airports, especialy OST and LGG.

I wrote it already on another topic: excellent for both platforms.
I wish them sincerely to keep this heading.

Are these charters or scheduled flights?

That's good news for Liège Airport.

Seems like building a new terminal was the right investment as it is already attracting new passenger flights.

@humberside:
these are charter flights: from this press release, we can't know if there will be "flight only" seats.
End of April, Thomas Cook will introduce regular flights to BCN and PMO to a very fair price, including all fees and catering (from 59EUR one way) Their link: http://www.thomascookairlines.com/thomascookairlines/
These flights come in addition to the "flight only" seats proposed by Thomas Cook and Jetaironly ( http://www.jetairfly.com/en/index.php? ) on charter flights to 24 different destinations.
If the TNT flights would include "flight only" seats, there would be one more destination (Ajaccio) making a total of 25 destinations where one can book only the flight!
I hope I could help you.

It seems the wind is blowing in the right direction for LGG:
here is a copy of part of last CH-news:
Belle Air (XH/Tirana) is a new low-cost carrier founded by several former Albatros Airways (4H/Tirana) investors. Belle Air will launch operations on December 15 using an MD-82 wet-leased from Air Adriatic (AHR/Rijeka) offering three weekly services from Tirana to Istanbul Ataturk, Milan Orio al Serio and Verona as well as two weekly flights to Ancona, Athens, Bologna Forli, Genoa, Pisa, Rome Ciampino, Trieste. It is planning to add a second MD-82 and an ATR 42 at a later stage to launch additional routes from Tirana to more Italian destinations, Liege, London Stanted and Pristina.
