Budapest ??

The statue there looks like the "Statue of Liberty" (of Budapest of course  ) ... but I really don't recognize the surroundings...

no, sorry, none of the cities you have mentioned. No vienna, no budapest. I can give a second hint: the photo was taken at 1 a.m. in the night.

come on! I can't work that way that you are going to guess all cities regardsless of the photo :-D. Moreover I wondered why all the cities are in the old Europe area ...

Anyway, let's summarise:

- It is a capital but not Berlin
- it looks like it can be pretty bright in the night (so forget Prague!)
- It is not Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Stockholm, Kopenhagen, Helsinki

maybe I can give another hints:

- The statue you see in the front is indeed also entitled "Statue of Liberty". What you can see in gold are three stars.

good luck, lr.

yup.

sorry.

Actually I have read into this thread a past couple of pages but not all. I hope you guys are not pissed of by the fact that Riga has been posted twice already :-/ I just did not know it.

to my defense I can say that original rules do not forbid to bring a city twice. ;-)

so EHAM, looks like your turn!

And it was guessed twice by Comet! That's why I was expecting, statistically, a 3rd one.
Maybe the "déjà vue" was influenced by the last one who posted it; EHAM thus.

Well, in fact it didn't ring a bell to me, but now I see what you meant

Ok, this is my next pic. Hope it will take more than just one guess (like my last pic)

that seems indeed tough ... because the photo is from the 70ies or from an area where people like to drive old cars. Do the buildings in the back stand still there today? :-D Is the city in the UK or in any commonwealth country?
