Paris Air Show

Post by meerkat »

Hi All

Having read the latest about spotters events and a possible trip to RIAT, is anyone thinking about Paris this year?

If there are a few of us who wish to attend then perhaps we can travel together (car share etc) or meet at the show.

Personally, if time and family allow, I would hope to go to Paris for a weekend (at least) and visit other airports/airfields in the region.

(I post this as when I used to spot exclusively in UK there were a group of people who regularly travelled about together in 1 or more cars. This helped with costs but also led to lasting friendships and more fun! as experiences were shared)

Thanks to Luchtzak for creating a great place for us to give our views etc.

Meerkat

May be a tip, Lennert Raes is planning to charter an SNBA Avro to the Le Bourget airshow.

Kenny,

this sounds like a great idea! Can you ask Lennert Raes that he joins this forum so he can reach more aviation enthusiasts?

greetings,

Bart

Hi guys,

Woooow, this aircraft charter thing really seems like an amazing idea. If I can get some days off, I'd love to participate. That'd be awesome!

I've already bought a ticket for the Thalys highspeed train. Mechelen-Paris and back, only €53. :D Off course, I'd rather fly... But I couldn't keep waiting. The longer you wait the more expensive the train ticket.

Too bad that the guy who asked in on the other forum didn't mention it here, I believe that by placing it here you could reach more people. Maybe in the very near future?

Today I was able to buy a ticket for the airshow in Fnac Wijnegem shopping center. ( € 10 ) :) The same price as at the entrance but I don't have to stand in line then. But... at the rear of the ticket it says:
"Taperecorders, film-,video- and photocameras are forbidden!"
How do you explain this?
I wanted to take some nice pics. :(
I can't imagine that with all the info you find on the net that it's not allowed to make pics on an airshow.
What could be the reason of this?
