Alitalia intersted in buying Volare ?!

How come ?

Volare in under administration and AZ is flying just 'cause of the new money they just got with the emission of new stakes...

How can they afford to buy another airline ?

Volare itself is doing quite ok, recovering and flying only A320.

Also Volare connects Milan Linate airport to few major italian airports, Alitalia flies the same routes..

AZ already bought some slots in BGY from Volare, when grounded...

Some of the routes rights and slot where bought by Ryanair...

Does someone can explain what is behind, it doesn't make too much sense to me.. unless is a way to buy planes, slots and marketing at a bargain price...
