Guess why
Moreover it's not the traffic to/from AUH (or Gulf) that fills a plane. Not now at least.
Like EK, the key is 6th freedom; and as long as some traditionally good filling destinations (e.g. Regi already mentioned JNB, BKK) are not served properly, LF suffers.

Business or high yield segment do not book months in advance.

Why not? EY is in full development and there's money enough (5 years) to talk about investments only (and disinvestments of course).
I this is not true, like you are saying, includes this that the plane is flying with empty seats.
Either Ehtiad is lying or Amadeus is lying (or maybe none of them are lying and it's just a misinterpretation by the journalist). If you do a check on all EY flights ex BRU, you'll see that you can buy seats on all flights (I did a search on flights from December 15th - January 15th and the whole month of February and March). It's correct that on many flights there are no Y seats, but you can book Y on those flights (just take the SN codeshare). C class doesn't seem to be ful on any date.
Are you forgot that there was no connection between Belgium and the Golf region till now. A lot of multinationals can now flying direct instead of flying via LHR.
You mean they can fly to AUH directly. Besides, if the multinationals have better contracts with another airline, why use EY. In the end, the really big customers (the multinationals) care more about how much air travel costs than about how many times its employees have to transfer. Oh, before i forget, this last statement doesn't apply for upper management.

Hi LJ,
Big companies care indeed about costs, but not only direct costs. A lot of transfers can cause a lot of (indirect) costs, even if business travellers can use lounges, etc, they loose time (and money). In general companies calculate with what is called 'opportunity costs'. This includes the lost of revenue related to the lost of 'time' (after all travelling is not 'useful' time, no matter how you look at it).
As announced Etihad Airways and SN Brussels Airlines held the official ceremony of the new transatlantic service of Etihad on Thuesday 15 November at the airport of BRU.
At the party 200 guest were invited and they could enjoy the best products of Belgium and the UAE. Some representatives of Etihad, SNBA and BIAC were also at the party.

I was told they often came with the YB plane.
And I've only spotted the YB so far in EBBR.
Thx,
FB.
On 14 and 15/11 it was A6-EYD with RR engines and probably the EY-interior
