Etihad Airways AUH-BRU-YYZ part 2
I just thought it is a good idea to open part 2 of this discussion ( part 1 got almost 9 pages of discussion ).
The return flight YYZ-BRU-AUH had a Pax load of 35% ( 77 Pax ) . Although it is not good but i guess it is not too bad either for a 1st flight .

Don't be blinded by the load on a First Flight!
Obviously a first flight will have a decent load, if alone because many persons from within the airline as well as from outside are invited to come along and get to know the new destination...
The real success can be measured on th following flights.
Anyway, 35% might indeed not seem great, but don't forget we're talking Ethihad here, and they have a reputation of having quite low load factors on several routes all year long (MUC for instance), despite them increasing capacity, so it seems they are happy with those loads.

Out of my own interest, I assume that one reason for the relative low load factor is the bad connection to some destinations. I posted already the result to Bangkok and Johannesburg where there is a 9 hour transit in the terrible Abu Dhabi airport (i n 1 direction, the other direction is very short). If changing connection times is too difficult , Etihad might think about providing hotel accomodation in or around the airport, as Biman and Royal Jordanian are doing. But that is not an ideal compromise.

A few remarks:MSYYZ wrote:I just thought it is a good idea to open part 2 of this discussion ( part 1 got almost 9 pages of discussion ).
Perhaps you could have filed your proposal to the webteam instead of starting a 'new' topic after 9 pages, may be wait for 10 pages, sounds more logic.
Post a message in the original one that the topic continues in another one and mention the url to it. Since the webteam was not informed, it was possible that there were some additional replies in the 'old' topic because it was not closed.
If everyone does what he wants to do without asking(asking doesn't cost anything, just a few minutes), then there will be some people complaining that luchtzak.be isn't organised
Keep this in mind for the future
sorry for the mess up on the other page. I was at the airport a few days ago at terminal 1, and thought I'd take a photo.....

Not too sure I understand this?
I hope that, what kind of parti: here in Belgium or Abu Dhabi, telling the truth. They reach nothing with telling story's. If they telling that the flights from BRU to Abu Dhabi are sold till March 2006 means that the majority will buy seats after that period. I this is not true, like you are saying, includes this that the plane is flying with empty seats. Think twice instead of copy some post of somebody else. Are you forgot that there was no connection between Belgium and the Golf region till now. A lot of multinationals can now flying direct instead of flying via LHR.
They don't spend money for months for an empty plane and useless campaigns and recruiting crews here in Belgium.
That's my point of view.
