Air New Zealand 777

Post by speedbird1 »

Just seen this picture of the first Air New Zealand 777-200ER, taken on delivery at Auckland. I think it looks fantastic.

Nevermind how good the plane is, the flight attendants are all so old and ugly... with some big maorie guys in there too..... Not offending anyone but a flight attendant should be rather slim and eye-pleasing as well as providing the good service...

And the food on ANZ is quite disgusting.

Sorry I disagree, I flew around NZ in the winter and I thought they were very good, the crews were professional and polite to the passengers.

.

oh dear oh dear , I assume you are joking , but if not , what century are you living in ? In the event of an emergency I would rather have a big Maori guy opening the emergency exit and throwing me out the door than have a slim eye-pleasing person who is still struggling with the door as we all asphyxiate .

taken out half the qantas staff too...... 8O as long as they do their job and have a postive attitude i really don't think there should be a problem.

BTW got the NZ772 in Brisbane on Monday will post the shot when i can get round to editing it :P

Cheers

Qantas is a bit better I have to admit. But their translators (on Asian flights), I have encountered it for some 6 times in the past few years, they are a bit hopeless... you can never hear what they say!

As for 'in emergency', why said an eye-pleasing/slimmer person cannot open a door?

Well anyway let's not Off Topic... it's just my experience and what I heard from friends on ANZ... They are upgrading the cabin and I hope everything will improve so I will have another direct flight choice back home every year!

Why do you think the NZ crew are so old and ugly?
I have seen the sister 'plane to this at CHC I must say I was impressed with it all; I have flown on a B777 from BKK leaving from a remote stand, that gives you a real good idea of the size, but, it seemed different' I suppose it changes things when you see an a/c in your airlines colours for the first time

Well said my friend. Never has a truer word been written about that airline!
