I was a day at sea today. I can confirm the Antonov 124 was RA-82044.

Apart from your list, there was also a DC8 from MK Airlines, and HZ-AIU, the B742F of Saudi (coming in from Jeddah, going to JFK)

Football charter for the Champions League

@westwings

nice one of the AN124, reminds me when I pulled the brakes of front wheel on my bike too hard, but this one won't fall on his nose I think :D

Yes, the Austrian flight was for the football team of Rapid Vienna. They play Club Brugge tomorrow evening.

About the antonov: I had never seen or heard such a giant landing and braking. Today, I went looking at a fence when suddenly... It was great :-)

Thanks guys, the Austrian was indeed a football charter.

Actually the AN124 first landed on it's main gear but then it's rear bumped into the air again...funny sight :D

Howly cow !! 8O Is this real what I see? The Antonov seems to have it's nose gear down the runway already when the main gear is still in the air ! 8O Amazing shot you have there...

I was about to leave for the airport when my car refused to start from Westende... bloody $£#...

Anyway, i'm a special guest on sunday 06/11 at EBOS. 8) But stttt... i know nothing

Hello

Some very nice pictures again!!!

Well , that's one question less to ask...was already wondering what kind a plane would operate the football charter for yesterday , since my home computer is again without internet (only temporarily), so...:D

Really great that Volga Landing.

I didn't knew that an AN-124 lands with the nose gear first 8O :D

You can see THAT clearly on the picture.

BTW: GREAT JOB making those expectations about EBOS...now I finally know when the AN-124's come and I might go to there...now only finding someone who is so crazy to drive me to there.... , unfortunately THAT'S another story. :(

Best regards: Yannick ;)

today also on airliners net the Volga plane.
I bet that Wiloo will put it on its website as an example how "Ostend escapes total annihiliation every day".

Hi,
I want to clear something: The plane did not land on his front gear like some people said. It was a crosswind landing on his right main gear (see my picture). When the front gear was touching down, the main landing gear was jumping up a bit (see my second picture). It was spectacular but certainly not a "front gear landing".
Greetings,
Wim
