More than boring I find it looks very old and the dirty planes don't help either :(

I quite like the third idea for a new livery but the other two are even more boring than the actual.

For me Air India is with Iberia and Air China, the company more in need of a new livery.

I have to agree, personally these 3 really do need a livery make over, just like Thai did, i would also add Alitalia and lufthansa to the list as well they are starting to look abit dull now.

Air France should also think about freshening or modernising their current livery.

It's very 60-70's.

I found a recent picture somewhere on this site of the new AI B777 , the plane looks awsome and the livery looks ugly :frusty:

This picture is enhanced from an Air New Zealand B747-419, if I'm not mistaken; no doubt someone will let me know, if I am(mistaken) !

AirIndia will not disappoint you people. A livery change was on the cards but then it is being done in stages.

Currently the FOCUS is on the uniforms of the F/A's.

The site showing the new livery is 'modified airliner photos'. If a new livery is on the site, this doesn't necessary mean that this livery is going to be used in real life.

p.s. I love the current Air India colours!

Check these proposed new liveries out..

This livery was tried in early nineties, but due to to the bad reaction of Indian population and Indian travellers it was abandoned two years later. This livery is quite unique as the windows are resembling to small temples. As the Indians like this, I guess the livery will stand for years to come.

I'm quite a fan of classic liveries, and the Air India c/s are really my favourite ! I even have an A4-format picture of an Air India B744 on the wall in my bedroom.

I hope they'll keep the livery for years and years to come !

For once (!), I have to agree with Mr. Bamps.

The themples around the windows are art in my eyes, the 747 and the 777 look awesome between the modern liveries in and it's great for shooting!

F/A uniforms are being finalised.

Crockery is being changed.

Cutlery bears a more fusion look.

Decals inside are more ethnic.

maybe Alitalia, but not Lufthansa, the actual livery suits the company very well, and still looks very sober and class.

Yes this is true, i often go to the "Aéro bistrot" in geneva, a nice cafe, in the other side of the airport, where you can spot, have a fondue and drink some beers... And we always see the clean Swiss plane, and the so dirty air france plane

Nice or ugly is a matter of taste and I must say that c/s of Alitalia, Lufthansa and Air India are still very acceptable and very different from the many new ones which all look alike, don't you think so ?

Air India

Post by flyingblueboy »

For Air India, option number two is the one i like most..

Airfrance, a new one would be nice, but i believe french will say is nice like that.. but airfrance should clean their planes and their records.. even if noone died in Toronto, AF names is too present in air accidents..

Alitalia need just little modifications..

I'd like to see a more stilish Lh, taking example from NW..
