I think the holes are for the Slides. I remember seing a pi of an airbus cabin trainer, and the slide was not attatched to the door but under it.

Wauw! really nice to see this big bird with a Singapore tail!
If I'm not mistaken all of these foto's are of three different planes!: MSN002, MSN003 and MSN006.
So I guess they already have already 5 A380 in construction for the moment!

Isn't it a risk for Airbus to already manufacture these planes since the A380 is not yet totally certified?

Yeah it's a bit weird... i mean there must be some optimizations to be done after the testing, hwo can they start building it already?? Or is the the one that will go to tour (MSN004??) in November?

You can't wait until certification is granted to start industrial production. It takes months, if not years.

What do you do with your suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, mechanics and buildings? Pay them for doing nothing? Stop paying them but expect them to remain available for your project?

Modern techniques (i.e. computer design) have litterally removed the big awful surprises you discover during ground/flight testing. That doesn't mean there is no surprises (obviously).

If there's a serious flaw in the design, Airbus will take care of it. I'm sure there's even a line for that in their budget.

One thing of note...
The window spacing of that A380 looks pretty much the same as the test aircrafts, and they look very far apart.. i would've thought the production A380s would have windows more closer together??

Not so easy.
They must have the certification, the tests of the airframe, the interior must be placed, the crew must be trained......
End 2006 is reasonable

I'm guessing they have more than 5 in construction, since 5 are structuraly complete... 10 may be more like it, in various fases of construction...

AH , ok , thanks for answering my question A330lover ;)

Indeed , was already thinking that it was SO early , wile everyone claims that the Airbus 380 liveries are delayed , so I was confused. Thanks for clearing it up. ;)

Best regards: Yannick

Well, I am happy to say that it looks nicer than the first pics I saw from the first prototype.
She still needs a little aesthetic jobs (nose fixing, facelifts, etc) but I'm sure she'll make a hell of a model!

I thought the MSN001 -> 005 are all testing aircrafts... why would a test aircraft have airline livery???
