SAS upgrading equipment on BRU-CPH

As of the first of november, Scandinavian Airlines (SK)
will upgrade its equipment to CPH !!

*From that very moment we will see 2 days a week
the A321 instead of the MD-81/82/87 !

Equipment upgrade is on wednesdays and fridays.

Schedule: SK1593 CPH-BRU 15u10-16u40
SK1594 BRU-CPH 17u20-18u55
*And also in the mornings equipment will change:

SK1591/1592 will be operated by a MD-87 instead
of the Dash-8-400

Of course, these upgrades appear after Maersk Air (DM)
decided to stop the CPH-BRU-CPH route

At least modern equipment from SAS to BRU.

Sorry for those who loved the MD 80/82/87 etc. But I don't like that type of aircraft. It's personel off course.

It's gonne time that we can see an Airbus of SAS at BBU

Sorry to diisagree, but the MD80 family was very comfortable. The 2-3 seating means that the load factor must be above 80% to have a dreaded middle seat. The rear engines provide for a quiet ride. Unhappy to see them go...

I like the MD series, only petty that they burn so much fuel..makes them an unattractive airplane for start up carriers otherwise we could have seen many more around for years..

I do agree with sn26567 that the MD80 was great to fly in! Very smoot, stable, and much quiter then the A32x series. I often flew the MD8x's and was always a pleasant experience!

FYI, SK1594 was operated by a 737 today.

yes, indeed.

SAS has a very good passenger load on the BRU-CPH.
Evening flights are always full, especially
the SK1594 flight which is almost everyday
completely full,or even overbooked.
Also SK1590 to ARN is a success (always full or overbooked)
and in the weekends every flight is full, not an empty seat
to discover

Good news!
The MD-80 is a good plane, but it starts to show signs of her age, certainly those of Alitalia.

I flew on a SK MD80 from FRA to OSL in 2003; it was very quiet in the cabin compared to other 'planes :laugh:

I suppose you were sitting in the front

Remember that the engines are next to the windows in the back

No I was sitting in Seat 21C, according to my boarding pass, which is in line with the wings :laugh:
