One of the most important things about the A350 is it's size. Airlines such as EK have looked down upon the B787 because the aircraft is not of the needed size. The B787 is perfect for airlines that have an unstable load-factor on routes that are some times unprofitable. Also the airplane will definitely prove itself to be a perfect replacement for the B762/3/4. Going back to the A350, the plane is a great fit for carriers that need to have an expanded capacity of pax onboard, and more and more of these carriers start to appear on the market, therefore causing the A350 to be a success.
B764 was a small error. Why? Because Boeing came up with the B772, a plane with substantially better km's per pax fuel burn and with fewer less seats . The LF doesn't need to be 65% or more percent to achieve profit on the B777, on the 764 it needs to be greater.Avro wrote:
As Sab319 said the B764 wasn't an error. The reason why it didn't sell to many airlines is because Boeing purely designed the B764 for Continental and Delata airlines.
at least that's what I think
