MUC-ZRH-MUC on LX (06.06./09.06.)
LX1111 06JUN 2025 (10 A orig / 16 F)
Last friday I'd to work so the 17:30 swiss flight wasn't suitable for me
and bad enough the next one is 20:25. Well it was a free flight booked with miles so I had only to pay the taxes and in german we say
"einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul"
which means you don't pay for it so don't say anything against ...
So I went 4 p.m. to the underground (it was terrible hot and I wont work anymore) changed munich east into the S8 to the airport and it took down town munich to the airport 1 hour and ten minutes - they definitly need the trans-rapid !
when I arrived at swiss/ SNBA check in counter the 17:30 flight was bording (well I was right that I wouldn't reach THIS flight)
although the airport was terrible full (holiday begin in germany for two weeks !)
swiss check in was very quick (but the girl didn't ask me where I want to sit - later)
I asked for a lounge and she asked me what color my travel club card has - silver is ok for the lounge so I moved myself in direction of terminal C - after security of course.
the lounge was nice cold and the beer was it too ...
I'd a book with me so the time was gone very quickly and it was time to move me back to D08 boarding started on time but there was NO bus, which indicate yeah slot was gone away
when we entered our plane (IYC S2000 "happy prop" in crossair concordino colors and with a sticker operated by swiss International airlines)
entering the plane I recognized that I had gotten the emergency exit seat went again in front and asked for another seat which wasn't a problem, because the plane was approx. 30 to 40% full (if it was) after departure the began service quickly - a sandwich (when the came in my row ham was gone out vegetarian was enough left)
and an additional beer and the came around twice with sandwiches (normal size like LH and not bad) and complementary chocolate (Taler)
landing in ZRH was approx 20 minutes late which indicates also that my train was gone away
so I came home at 23:00 / 11 pm.
well we had a few great enjoyable turbulences !

LX1104 09JUN 1220 14A
Today I arriced 10 minutes before latest check-in time at the airport (11:30 am.)
and moved to the quick-check in terminals at railway station, got 14A for the S2000 boarding started on time again and we got a bus (before I had to show my smartphone out of the pourse to the security they didn't know what it is)
and we started again late but because of the delivery at aircraft handluggage, they served some "crossair Talers - chocolate" while waiting
this time the plane was good filled which also meant only one small cheese sandwich or a croissant filled with salmon for the flight
I had the croissant and a juice (both times no coffee service - LH on the same route had one and SNBA of course had one too). descent to munich was on time and I moved myself to the S1 to main train station.
Say uneventful flight ....
and it's was definitly too hot for writing more , because of this very, very hot summer we had.

and no Avro  last time on LX more than a year ago it was an Avro and before
the 20:25 was done by flightline on behalf of swissair with an BAe

PS: meanwhile SNBA and LX have different counters on Munich Airport Terminal One sector D - when I fly SNBA it's more than appriciated to have a "own" counter :D

Do you remember how enjoyable Crossair was at the beginning (before being taken over by Swissair)? Leather seats (the first ones for a regional airline), champagne for all and chocolates.

When you flew, Jumbolino, service visibly went down already.

And next time you will have to pay for your food and drinks (except a glass of water, if you get one).

André, I know, I know ....
but I had a lot of LX flights in 2000 (approx 20) and ONLY one flight WAS ON TIME, so the on-flight service back was good, but the main reason for flying - to be faster - was for short haule incredible bad.
(approx they had 45 min. delay - sunday afternoon ....)
