If I get it right. The Obelix plane will be the one in the hangar not one of the planes flying.

Thanks in advance,
Yes it, take the train to Vilvoorde, and then wait in front of the train station for the 821 or 820 nr bus to Zaventem, then make sure to tell the driver to drop you of at the start of the Brucargo park, you should then just follow the mass i guess :)

good luck, might have a look myself on sunday
Another possibility:
take the train to Brussels Airport.
At the airport bus station you can take a bus (821 or 830) that goes to Brucargo, which is not far away from SNBA Technics.
Check the website of 'De Lijn' for their timetable.

This Open House day is also a very nice occasion to grab some cool SN goodies ;-)

Avro/A319/A330 (scale models and Pacmin), beach towels, inflatable airplanes, memory sticks, t-shirts, umbrellas, block notes, posters, postcards, ...
Everything SN-branded!

Indeed, that's it!!
You can also come by train to Brussels National Airport train station, at level 0 you take the free shuttle bus service to Parking P59 (every +/- 7 minutes). From there it's +/- 15 minutes walking.

But the bus stop "Machelen Cargo (Post)" is closer by the hangar B117.

See you this Sunday

As the 830 concerns (821 will be the same, but I have the timetable of the 830 in front of me):

@Bruspotter: the stop you mean, I think, is the closest to the SNBA-hangar. To me, that's not 'Machelen Cargo Post', but 'Melsbroek Parking Noord'. 'Machelen Cargo Post' is the stop at the Flightcare and Aviapartner-buildings.

Some additional info on the 830 that could be usefull:

*There's one bus an hour. It leaves Groenendaal (with direction Machelen Cargo) at ...h10. For example, the first bus of the day:
-Groenendaal Station: 7h10
-Hoeilaart Kerk: 7h13
-Overijse Stelplaats: 7h20
-Duisburg Kerk: 7h35
-Tervuren Centrum: 7h43
-Wezembeek-Oppem Ban Eik: 7h50
-Sterrebeek - Oud station: 7h55
-Zaventem Mariadal: 8h02
-Zaventem Luchthaven: 8h07
-Melsbroek Parking Noord: 8h15

Hope this helps some of you people to join!

As I already mentioned...I have a car and live in Nossegem (near Zaventem). There are about 3 places left. It's possible to pick you up in the station of Zaventem  DORP (not the airport cause there's to much traffic).

And: no you don't pay anything! I have to drive to Melsbroek anyway...

Does anybody know the registrations of the 2 AR1's that will operate the flights, and on which flights they'll be put?

Thanks

Aloha!!

Thanks everyone for the kind replies.

Have been searching for every good possible connection for me. And thx for warning me of the 'Luchthaven' SNBA hangar shuttle bus. But I don't think I have to do THAT. Maybe I DO can do it in the return.

But I think I'll just have to leave that bit later and go home with the bus , or I could be dropped at Mechelen or Lier or something like that and than go home from there.

Best regards and see you Tomorrow : Yannick ;)

So far I know 3 aircrafts will be used for the flights: OO-DWH (Obélix and Asterix), OO-DWA and OO-DWK. Don't shoot the messenger if these regs are wrong ;)

I'll be there around 8:15. Under my coat I'll wear a "luchtzak" T-shirt but I'll wear also a SNBA-cap.
I'll have a blue backpack too.
But how can we recognise you? :?
