Jet Airways to Bru (2)
Moderator: Latest news team
That was also my question. Jet Airways itselfs said that it leased out their planes for serving the route BOM-BRU-EWR. The second plane they are going to used it for the second flight from BOM to LHR. So in that way they don't have the airplanes for flying the new routes.
Also this one. Jet Airways don't have the permission to fly 6 times the route BRU-BOM, because there are restrictions on that route.
So, I think it's very optimistic to say they are flying end of October.

Just a small detail on BOM-BRU-EWR: 2 machines cross each other at BRU early morning.Starvmg wrote:........

1 A340 --- BOM-BRU-EWR....
Since math is not an opinion, 1+1+2=4.
I believe Atlantis is quite right to be sceptic.
Atlantis, that's interesting, do you have additional info in thisAtlantis wrote:........

That would only be once the 6 weekly services are in place. With three weekly services (as planned for now) no planes will cross each other at BRU. The route can be flown with a single plane three times a week, and it'll still be on the ground for a full day.Just a small detail on BOM-BRU-EWR: 2 machines cross each other at BRU early morning.

Also, don't forget Jet Airways has A330s coming online soon. I remember reading that they would be used for some of the LHR flights, freeing up an A340 for the BOM-BRU-EWR route once that goes 6 times weekly.
According to the latest: Jet Airways is trying to start up only 3 times a week BOM-BRU-EWR and not 6 times a week. Why? As I said, Jet Airways don't have the permission to fly 6 times a week from EWR stopover at BRU and destination BOM. It's the US who have to give their permission.
You can ask, when they are going to get it for a daily flight, yes, they want to have a daily flight. By the end of March 2006.

@teach,
As I was saying; indeed the latest: frequenties goes up and down, 3 then 6 and now again 3. Just the same for the first flight. But that's something else.
So, for the future don't focus on a word, but see the whole picture, think what was writing in the past, read other sources on the net, talk with reliable sources and you have the picture from the beginning till now.

Hi Guys,
I've just read the french speaking edition of this week's "Trends-Tendances". And in the brief news area the mentioned 9W would star its flight from the 30th october on BUT at first only on a BOM-BRU-BOM basis with 3 weekly flights.
If the success is there and if the problem is solved with the U.S DOT then they would fly a daily BOM-BRU-EWR rotation in Q1 2006.
What do you think ?

3/7 BOM-BRU-BOM only thus 8O
I wonder how 9W is going to fill those 800 (+ 800 back) seats a week withouth the back-bone US traffic.
Being very optimistic, including cross-borders, promo fares and eventual SN Feed-Defeed if agreement in place, I hope 25% LF and underline optimistic. This should mean no profitability.
Just wonder 8O

Not even a tiny clue on their site.Starvmg wrote:considering that its exactly 4 weeks away hopefully 9W starts publicizing this soon. Any inside info from anyone? Advisor?
If they succeed to anticipate the A330 lease from ILFC on May next, opening the way for the late 2006 B777 start delivery, I have a slight feeling they are going to review Europe strategy.
On Airliners.net one person claims that Jet Airways really is going to start Amritsar (ATQ)-DEL-BHX (Birmingham) in November. This is to be 3x per week.
Does anyone know if the plane will then end up BOM-BRU on the other 3 days???
Should be interesting as its already October 6th, what will Jet really do?

According to a senior at Jet Airways, they can't fly to the US before summer '06. This is due to a lack of aircraft. The three A340-300 are committed for the India-UK market.
The other aircrafts, B777 can't join the fleet earlier then summer '06.
Even if they get permission from DOT to start up services to the USA they can't.
For the service from BOM-BRU no word about it. Is it cancelled?? The aircraft for that route is leased to an other airline. The only thing Jet can do is searching on the international lease market to find an aircraft for that route.

As far as I can see in the Galileosystem (the well-known GDS), there is no 9W-FLT mentioned between BRU-BOM.
So there are two options:
So there are two options:
- Those flights cannot be booked in Galileo (what I seriously doubt);
There is nothing yet confirmed about the whole 9W-plan @ BRU (this seems more realistic to me).
I'm afraid you're not wrong at all.Atlantis wrote:@Fostro,
As I was told in other posts, they don't have the aircraft for flying Bom-Bru for the moment.
For the moment I don't see them this year at Bru, Hopefully I'm wrong.
Nothing is moving and silence is ruling.
Looks like a direct skip to summer season (hoping BRU plans won't be reversed).
