Explanation of the word 'luchtzak'

Post by luchtzak »

Dear luchtzak-members,

yesterday I was looking at the new top-series called 'Lost', every monday on Kanaal 2 (Belgian tv). 48 passengers survive a crash but are now stuck on an island. One of the actors tells that the plane entered an 'airpocket', then crashed: the word 'airpocket' was translated in Dutch into 'luchtzak'.

It looks like 'airpocket' or sudden drop in the air is getting closer to the Dutch word 'luchtzak' ;-)

Today I started thinking: why are we not going international with our domainname and register www.airpocket.com ? Unfortunatey we are too late with that one, but it's for sale (only 2.500USD) looking for sponsors ;-)

And I really don't see the stewards of SN Brussels being called "air pockets"
