I'm sure if you ask BIAC they will give it to you! It is for protecting the airport jobs. This is an action against all the neighbourhouds that are complaining and that wish the airport closes. So i'm sure the more people want to put this on their car, the better it is for the whole action!

Finally a good move of the companies on and around the airport. Approx. 18 CEO's of companies on the airport were present on a meeting to start this campaign.

Hopefully it's not to late. And like Luc Van den Bossche, BIAC, said: "all those problems are very bad for the airport".
They are loosing clients and no airline will come to an airport or country with a very unstable political atmosphere.

That 60.000 people have work thanks to the airport, that's the point!

Not only that - although I like airports very much and I also work for an airport - the really reason for having an airport is to provide a meaning of mass transportation and this is important for the economy in - more or less - the whole country.

So there are much more people connected to the airport...

What a waist of time and effort posting such a comment !

60.000 jobs .. if you know that the Brussels area already is strugling with 21% unemployment you will understand why this is so important.

If the 60.000 jobs would be lost due to 'economical' reasons, it would be hard, but jusitified. However in this case, the airport and all the companies related to the airport are healthy companies, but the main threat is the belgian comunitair system, where everybody wants their own way and adavtages, but forgetting the federal interests!

And it is not Brussles but Brussels

russianboy , what's so great about your job?
Would you like to lose it thanks to ignorant people that want to see trees instead of a factory or silence instead of noise?
The fact is that 60.000 stickers on car won't make that much difference. If you check out the air time this topic gets on tv compared to the action groups you'll find that nobody cares.
I realy hope that it will make a difference but i doubt it.
It's a difficult topic voor politicians and making a choice in our advantage would cost more vots than against us "I think'.

 Excellent initiative! :D

I'll try to obtain some of their materials to support the action. Can you find it somewhere in the airport?

I continue to believe that on the long term Brussels airport will stay open and will only grow. This action is a step in the right direction.

It's maybe not for this topic but I read just on the net that there was yesterday again a juridical decision. The judge had decided that the use of 20/02 on Saturdays are not allowed anymore because there was no reason to used it. That was their opinion yesterday.

Today also in the newspaper, a lot of people of Erps-Kwerps, Zaventem, Steenokkerzeel, Herent, Zemst are afraid of the extension of runway 25L.

Nice pics Bart.
Today I was thinking about the result of this action.
First of all. You only get to see the banners ,stickers and balloons on the airport. And you don't have to prove to the pax that the airport is important. The press attention that resulted from the action was almost nothing. Maybe 20 seconds at the end of the news when everybody already switched to another chanel. And the car stickers , the only thing that could go outside the airport are not waterproof :s . So I wonder what the outcome of this action wil be...

Ohhhhh balloons, how cute ! Barbie is so smart, I could never come up with such great stuff !, this no media action is going to make such a difference....

At least Maria Vindevoghel could bring Zaventem in the picture ( Sabena and Flightcare ).
But FC / BIAC do not like people like here, so this is what you get !.

Babes fighting for the airport !, so did they plan a possible next move ?, something with free make up next time maybe....!

Sadly, press seems more interested when you block the airport access road or stop handling luggage than with a "friendly" action like this one.

Bumper stickers that are not waterproof ... 8O 8O 8O
