Site statistics

From time to time, I look at Luchtzak's statistics, and specially the TOP 25. (https://www.aviation24.be/top.html)

There is one that I like:

25 most active forum members

· 1: sn26567 (1714 messages)
· 2: Avro (1355 messages)
· 3: luchtzak (1147 messages)
· 4: Sabena_690 (668 messages)
· 5: SN30952 (566 messages)
· 6: Comet (510 messages)
· 7: liebensd (454 messages)
· 8: vliegtuigfreak (320 messages)
· 9: Q707 (273 messages)
· 10: 744rules (257 messages)

But for those who would think that I am the champion in posting messages, there is one statitic missing: the number of posts PER DAY. And here, the ranking is quite different and there are some surprises:

1. Lien Joined: Oct 09, 2003 Total posts: 16 [16.00 posts per day]

2. Avro Joined: Apr 28, 2003 Total posts: 1355 [8.21 posts per day]

3. SN30952 Joined: Jul 31, 2003 Total posts: 566 [7.97 posts per day]

4. sn26567 Joined: Feb 13, 2003 Total posts: 1714 [7.17 posts per day]

5. Comet Joined: Jul 05, 2003 Total posts: 510 [5.26 posts per day]

6. 63 Joined: Oct 07, 2003 Total posts: 14 [4.67 posts per day]

7. Captain Joined: Oct 09, 2003 Total posts: 4 [4.00 posts per day]

8. EBAW_flyer Joined: Sep 29, 2003 Total posts: 37 [3.36 posts per day]

All others, including webmaster Luchtzak and forum administrator Sabena_690 (and all other administrators as well), have less than 3 posts per day.

Any comments?

1) We are not looking at the same set of statistics. IMHO, the stats of the top 25 are reliable. The stats of the site anaysis probably too: they are calculated electronically.

2) Luchtzak has moved during the last 23 days, and he might have changed the parameters of his connection, which could explain the odd "23 days ago" for the date of his last visit...

It is hard for me to believe that I've made so many posts, it just doesn't seem two minutes since I joined this forum! And then there was my ten day break in September when I was unable to post because the computer in the hotel lobby wouldn't let me access the forums (though I could log in at the home page).

I've been on the "Airliner World" forum since the summer of 2000 and only made 899 posts on there!!

Demol,

I and only I have disabled myself to be listed in the statistics a few weeks ago. I forgot to change it again for 23 days. Now I am back available in the statistics.

Those are all amazing figures! If you look at the total messages from André (1714) and only registered in February this year!

Avro (1366) and registered barely 6 months!!

But the most amazing newest member is Lien: (s)he registered, posted allready 18 messages since yesterday 8) selected an avatar with a nice stewardess-uniform and added her location. Extra-ordinary!!

I am visiting this site every day, even if I do have a shortage in time, I visit it just before going to sleep... I don't post many messages, because first of all times fails me (after that I've read all new messages

), and I do only want to post if it's something interesting, and as some of you are always sooooooo quick - or is it me that is so slow??

As I'm not in the airline business, but in something totaly different, mostly I'm getting the news from this site at first, so not one bad word from me...

Anyway, I really do appreciate all your messages, and for me the rank of "most active poster" is not important, as long as the quality remains as high as it is now...
