If I'm not mistaken I've read in a newspaper last week that president Putin will be visiting Brussels on 3th October. Could somebody confirm this and maybe someone knows already when he will arrive?

I would like to see his a/craft. Last if we all remember when he visited India, there was a bird strike to his a/craft and a pretty bad one.
Aum Sweet Aum.

I have checked this on the site
www.florennes-as.be but nothing found for October. But it could be that they for safety reasons not mention this visit. Although they mention EU counsils, etc.

Putin will come for the inauguration of the Europalia-Russia festival. However, he wanted his presence to remain discreet, hence his name does not even appear in the programmes.

I've recently heard because of illegal pieces from maintenance his IL-96 was grounded! (probably this has been fixed since) if it's not the case maybe they will come with a replacement a/c!
anybody can confirm this?

to Glider,
Please, in the future, do not mention your source of information, mainly for your brother. It is nice from you if you can brief us on reliable timing but think to your security also.

The landing showed a lot of smoke coming from the tires, but the brakes worked fine. Il-62 rules!

Mind you I did get the C-17!

Goodafternoon,
If the TU154 is not standing on the Abelag-apron, I presume it must be standing at a gate or at Melsbroek or other remoted place.

They've changed. The wind is now 010/8 kt, so the Surveillance Radar Approach on 02 is now in effect due to ILS 02 u/s.
Also taxiway R4 closed between stands 167 and 169R (anyone knows what they're doing there)?
02 for landings, 07R and 02 for t/o. Some delays in the departing traffic.

TU 154 was standing at the end of the B terminal. I think around B40.
