Post by MrAirbus »

Bloomberg reports that Aegean Airlines has placed an order for 8 firm
plus 12 Options on A320s.

Well they are going to need them if olympic is going down any day soon!

Yeah!!!! Although will aegan actually fly to remote places like olympic does?

If i were them I would certainly not fly to australia!

So Aegan don't forget to be careful!!! Don't get over-excited by this sad event!

That’s a good question, they will have to replace them since the B737-300 are leased and older! But it will take some time and we might see them in service until they convert A320 options to orders at a later stage!

Australia is certainly not a remote destination for Olympic Airlines. The greec diaspora is very big. Also in South-Africa, accidentaly also a Olympic destination.
A bit similar to the destinations of Alitalia.
But sadly, destinations are not the only money maker. Managment is important as well. And the lack of good managment is another similarity between Alitalia and Olympic.
