was just a few seconds to late for the arrival of the Air One  and on top of that i went way to far to take a T.O. shot : i stood at the Kalpaert, and the 737 was already very high when passing there :?

and then this one came lining-up : P-51D OLD CROW :P

after T.O. she made a low and fast pass over the rwy, made me think of the airshows there used to be here :)

this with some other General Aviation traffic, made it a not so bad (half)day at Oostende :) one thing i must remember to take with me next time : a big ladder

I didn't know that the P-51D could take 2 people. Is this a modified one, or a training version TF-51D? If modified, what did they take out of the plane to create an extra seat?

i don't think this is a special modification, ore at least not uncommon.
i've seen this before, and if i'm not mistaken, this was used very often in WW2 to take a mechanic on the ( little ) backseat when they moved from one airfield too an other. (you could compare it to a sort of jumpseat)

It's not based at EBKT anymore these days, at least not as far as I know. I wish it was though :D
