Because arrivals are on runway 02 and departures on 07R. The spacing between the aircrafts is bigger, so it takes more time. The result is delays.

Departure delays were caused by extra security. The security lines to the B-pier took about 45 minutes today. So everybody be warned, be on time (2 hours in advance). And as a result all the aircraft who took off late are now again arriving late in Brussels.

I arrived yesterday in BRU. My Madrid flight was delayed more than one hour out of Madrid due to change of equipment.
I noticed all the delays at BRU. It was busy at the airport and I saw HUGE waiting lines at the security of terminal A. The whole security area was packed with people! What was the reason for this huge line? What do you mean by extra security?

seems today's delay are caused by wind, works & dispersion plan rules.

However: at the next Securair action, they will face a mass protest from passengers, making their job a hell. If you cannot deal with the responsabilities and pressure from a security check, find another job.
