Yes I was, but I know already since some years a better place to be outside the base during the flight demo's.
It's almost impossible to take desent pitures of the airshow inside the base, because the sun isnt at the good place and the fly too far from you, even with a 50-500.
So let me know next year if you come to Koksijde and I'll be hapy to show you that place

And the aircrafts are between the sun and you, it was terrible to make decent photo's from the public stands.

Thank you for the offer FlyFort, but I think I won't be there next year. It is too long traveling for what they offer. I did need to travel 8 hours for being there 7 hours. The positive thing about the public transport was that they offered me a all-inn ticket for just €18 (Train, bus and entrance).
I'd also be more than happy to go to that spot. I decided Friday evening to go to Koksijde, and forunately I decided nót to take my photo gear, since the conditions were really awefull (except maybe for those with the special spotter arrangements?).
Anyway, it was nice to get back to a Belgian airshow again, meet the Tigers and see John Vandenbosch in action, and see the PAF (very professional pilots by the way, and a big thank you for making it to Koksijde after their probs this week).
Hope to be there next year as well, but then with the sun in my back!!
Ivan
It's not good when it's done, it's done when it's good...

here are some of the pics i took on sunday ; indeed VERY bad light conditions i seriously consider to take a spotterpass next year, even if it's only for one day that i can go, at least you can take decent shots from the "spotters-corner"
Our first pictures of Airshow Koksijde 2005, the arrival days, can be found at our website. The pictures are taken on Thursday (near the canal) and on Friday (during the spottersday). More pictures of the airshow will follow in the near future
