I created this topic because of the situation around New Orleans that has been and is still developing. The extend of this disaster is still not really clear, it seems to be much bigger then what we would have thought it would be.

It is horrible what is happening down there, when I see what happens in New Orleans and the surrounding area the shudders go down my back. It just looks like a disaster movie, al the ingrediënts seem to be included. Lot's of casualties, anarchy, and very extensive damage.

When dubya (Bush) is smart he would send in more army to put an end to al the looting and anarchy that is around, because this is really disgusting. Even more that armed idiots are firing their guns at support troops and helicopters, just arm those and fire back at the m*ther****ers. In my opinion these people are just the scum of the earth.

But on the other hand, it's good to see how the US airlines are responding to help the people that are in need of it. American Airlines has send in Planes, to bring relief goods and to get people out there. United Airlines sells 500 miles for $50, and all the money goes to the victims of Katrina. WN is also doing something, I'm not sure what. Great to see how the aviation industry is helping to overcome this disaster!

At the moment, all my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and all the people affected by the storm!

Everyone knew that this was going to happen 4 days before it hit shore. The only people I feel sorry for are the old people and people that were in the hospital that couldn't get out of the city, but anyone else should have gone. The Mayor should have had a better plan but he didn't so more people died than should have.
I am over people talking about the Hurricane. I survived Hurricane Hugo that hit Charlotte as a cat. 4 and we were out of power for two weeks and no food or water for a week. Nobody thought it would hit Charlotte but it actually picked up speed and it was bad. Nobody helped us like they are doing now. I didn't get a $2,000.00 gift card to buy what I needed. It took 4 weeks after the hurricane before I ever heard about the insurance on fixing the house and having to buy another car. I feel for those people but now it is getting old and I am tired of hearing about it. New Orleans will never be the same but a lot of the people need to stop complaining about what the gov't isn't giving them and be grateful for the help they have gotten!

How about that direct hit on New Orleans by Katrina, and a follow-up by Rita?

What caused the massive flooding of the NE USA? Why did that big LOW stay put, and cause a front to become Stationary?

Cloud Seeding (from a pilot who did it)

I lost a good buddy, Tommy Sullivan, who was seeding a big cloud around Eastern CA, flying a modified P-38. He apparently experienced an electrical power failure to his instruments while in the cloud, and lost control; spin, crash, die. RIP.

Read all this stuff, do more research, and make up your minds, OK? I'm not 100% sure, just very suspicious at this time.
