An easy one:
Which mid-60' British project was scrapped as a budget cut back by Dennis Healey?
It had to be replaced by a US plane, as it was said to be less expensive. As it was way more expensive, it was replaced by a trio.
Which trio?
BTW : It would still "out-fly" the Tornado when it came in use 15 years after the project was cancelled!!!
