Ok, here's my question:

I want date, crew and aircraft of

1.First Transatlantic Flight
2.First Non-Stop Transatlantic Flight
3.First Solo Transatlantic Flight
4.Most Transatlantic flights (date, number of crossings and name, no aircraft type).

1- 8-31MAY1919: a squadron of NC-4 sea planes (4 or 5 - some of them have been lost IIRC) leaded by Albert Cushing Read
2- 14-15JUN1919: John Alcock/Arthur Whitten with their Vickers Vimy
3-20-21MAY1927: Charles A. Lindbergh with a modified Ryan M-2 "Spirit of St Louis"
4- Can you elaborate PLS?

Your answers are correct. So it's your turn know.

The info of the most crossing comes from this Website

Ah ok! Don't know this guy  :
Most Transatlantic flights - Between March 1948 and September 1984 2,880 crossings were made by Charles M. Schimpf. An average of 6.4 per month.
I'm looking for the next question - please wait.

An easy one:

Which mid-60' British project was scrapped as a budget cut back by Dennis Healey?

It had to be replaced by a US plane, as it was said to be less expensive. As it was way more expensive, it was replaced by a trio.
Which trio?

BTW : It would still "out-fly" the Tornado when it came in use 15 years after the project was cancelled!!!

Vickers/English Electric TSR-2

The one who will be able to give the name of the trio will ask the next question.

The reason for this peculiar sound was the long tubular air intakes ahead of the engine, causing an effect rather like an organ pipe.
Which aircraft am I talking about?

After a night of hard work, I can't think clearly, so again an easy one :

On June 25th 1909 somebody did the first crossing by air of something (= natural barrier).
Who was it and with which plane?
Which crossing, and between which 2 points?

Louis Blériot, with a Blériot type XI crossed the channel, I believe between Calais and Dover.

Regards

Seb.

PS: wasn't it July 25th  ?
