The aircraft was a Tracker. One body has been found, the other is still missing.

Flying bombero is a dangerous job. Fire fighters risk their live all the time, on ground or in the air.
These men and women have indeed a fighting spirit, but who fights can die.

If the cause of such death is worthwhile, then it is an honour, if the cause isn't, then it is stupid.

The body of the second pilot has been found. His heart has stopped to beat. Don't know if the rescuers were able to reanimated him...

Seb.

EDIT: the 2nd pilot is confirmed dead.

Off topic:

France sends 2 Canadair to help Portugal. Spain sends some reinforcements too. The situation is still bad there...

Seb.

EDIT: Germany and Italy are going to help too.

It is almost silly to witness the delay to order Il-76 firebombers.

Hi regi,

The best way to use such a big waterbomber as the Il-76 would be to have one squadron for France, Greece, Italy, portugal and Spain all together, via a private owned contractor, as we have already. The other possibility would be to have the same squadron ruled by the EU.

Regards

Seb.
