Delta Boeing 767 intercepted by Dutch F-16's

We got an amazing soundfile of two Dutch F-16's (juliet 33 and 54) intercepting a Delta Boeing 767 with hot weapons.

There had been not contact with the 767 since the Tsjech republic, so the Dutch airdefence scrambeld two F-16 for intercept.

We have for you the complete incident on MP3, Tower, F-16's and B767!

Interesting soundfile. I wonder what was the reason the pilot's didn't contact any ATC.

We have more information:

The intercept was Wednesday August 10th at 12:14Z
The flight was Delta, flight 073 from Istanbul to New York.
The Delta 767-332(ER) failed to contact Maastricht Eurocontrol

Great soundfile indeed.
Must have been a hell of an experience for the pax ? Maybe, some of them might have thought about a major problem with the aircraft.

Tjipke i dont think any pax knew anything about it but it is interseting why the media never got whiff of this...
normally anything to do with airplanes and bombs or lost contact theyre supposed to blab nonsence abou ti immediately...

On the tape you hear the F-16 pilot say he got eye contact with the pilots of Delta. So I suppose the pax could see the F-16s also( unless it happened during the night )
