Frequent flyer miles expiry question?

Post by Captain »

Hello,

A friend of mine has a Star Alliance account with Singapore Airlines. He told me for a while he had enough mile for a free flight on certain routes on SIA network.

He later told me that SIA had reset his air miles account to zero because he had not used them in a certain amount of time.

Is this still the case with Star Alliance and do other alliances i.e SkyTeam and OneWorld also do this?

I don't know about SQ, but lufthansa miles-and-more miles are lost after 3 years if you aren't a gold member.

I think all the FF programs have a expiry date for the earned miles.
sure the same for BA, LX, SN and many other.
No expiry will be an exception
