SV aircraft emergency landing at CAI

A Saudi Arabian Airline MD-90 has just landed in Cairo Airport after declaring a full emergency. Early reports suggest the pilot contact CAI's ATC and declared an emergency when the port-side engine caught fire in-flight.

At the moment the aircraft is surrounded by fire crew at Cairo airport, and initial reports suggest the tail area of the MD-90 was completely destroyed.

The aircraft was flying Madina-Cairo with 125 passengers.

Good news

The airport fire services were able to control the fire and all 125 passengers plus crew escaped safely but it seems the aircraft may be a right-off

It's always the same ... there is 1 crash and in the fallowing days / weeks it's just doesn't stop ...

More info it was

SV316 flying Madinah-Cairo. The flight should've arrived into CAI at 17:40 but landed at 20:24.
