Other interests? (Whatever they are...)

Post by Vinnie-Winnie »

Hi all,

Thought it would be nice if all Luchtzak members could list their interests other than airlines (obviously  )

So apart from spending too much time on Luchtzak what do you do to keep yourself entertained and busy?

I not sure what exactly has been meant with "girls", but I could agree that hanging out with them is a pleasant pastime 8) (No offence meant to the female sex!)

- I started driving lessons last Friday (and will have my license at the 17th), and I admit that I like driving also very much.
- I have a passion for politics, economics and current affairs (as Vinnie-Winnie put it).
- Also for making business plans and thinking about starting businesses (or other ways to make money without needing to physically work hard).
- Reading about subjects of my interest.
- The Second World War.
- And modern history (20th century).
- I also cycle very much, in order to try and contain my fat. :P
- Military stuff.
- Watching the news.
- Listening to music.
- Watch good movies/documentaries.

I have some more things I keep myself busy with but I can't come up with them at the moment.

Hahaha people wasn't expected anyone to say sex but yeah as a matter of fact I don't dislike it myself! :P

Mine:

-politics, economics, current affairs (Got a subscription to the economist and soon will have my first businessweek)
-Trains (used to be my first passion but since a a year or so has been replaced by planes)
-Music (Cheese, Dance, Indie, French cheese and recently indie and african music)
-Started to go to the gym last week :D
-Going out (Includes heavy drinking most of the time :P  à
-television (dunno why but can watch very difficult documentaries but i'm also a big fan of the most stupid reality programs)
-visit places (Not only the touristy ones also like the unusual cities)

Well that's about it carry on like that it's great to see what people like to do!

I like:

Beer (especially Belgian and especially Sloeber - 26 and 28 days to go!!)

Eating out and good food in general (Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian and any without beans in).

Making videos and adding music to them.

Photography.

Animals.

Computers.

Playstation.

Listening to music (but not opera, heavy classics, rap or reggae or jazz).

Working in the museum.

Going on holiday especially when it involves overnighting at an airport hotel and a bit of flying, and alot of beer

Veterinary medicine is a big interest of mine even though I can never be a vet it's the only true ambition I've ever had as far as jobs go.

I have been looking at my family history but it can get damned near impossible when you are not able to go any further because you can't find someone's maiden name. I don't follow this crap idea that doing family history means tracing your father's father, his father and his father and so on. You have two parents and by just looking at your father's line you are missing out exactly half of your pedigree. You could get some really interesting people in your mother's family too.

I like museums. The Science Museum in London is a mega favourite of mine.

After watching Walking with Beasts the evolution of amammals is also very interesting too.

We don't watch much TV because there is too much about buying and selling houses, doing up houses and gardens, crap like Big Brother and things like that on TV over here. At the moment there is an excellent series "Your Life in Their Hands" which shows people having complex operations and it shows the good stuff as well. Things like that don't last long enough for me because it finishes this week :(
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

With all these hobbies, Louise, I see you do not have much time left for "sport en chambre"?
But sports in general is not your favourite, I see.

I like watching TV ( only if it's a good movie or documentary ), listening to music especially the music of YoYo man  ( a luchtzak-member )
I used to ride a motorcycle but now I don't anymore.
I like to draw uhm... planes
When it come to sports, I only like carting.
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."

Let's avoid a "sport en chambre" discussion!Don't find it very interesting in my topic (there are other websites for that) and anyway it might go all pear shaped and personal once again. Thing which I really want to avoid.

Thanks! 8)

Other things I forgot to add:

I enjoy reading a good book (not sci fi) and am currently most of the way through "The Da Vinci Code".

Sport - I haven't done any for ages. I used to go swimming, I did karate and also horse riding when we had our own horses and a little while after but many stables around here have closed down.

Would love to have a flying license of some sort - either gliding or PPL but the cost is so high :(
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Cheers
