SN BRUSSESL -TORONTO

Post by Telspace »

Sabena once flew this route but did not last. Why ? what was the load factor ? Hope SN will be abble to fill-up the plane on the route. Just one question : why should it be better now than before ?

Sabena flew to Montreal, not to Toronto, for as far as I remember.

Wasn't it City Bird that flew to Montreal with a MD11 of SABENA.

I know that we handle the Montreal flight of City Bird lots of times.

White MD11 with citybird-logo on the nose, I think it was a drylease: with Sabena cockpit and cabincrew.

Advertisement in the Sabena timetable (edition 01/01/1987)

" 3 times a week to Toronto! *

Each week, Sabena offers three non-stop flights from Brussels to the bustling business capital of Mid-Canada: Toronto.

This increased Brussels-Toronto connection makes Sabena one of the most important carriers linking Europe and North America -with routes covering New York, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Anchorage, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta.
And with its celebrated 'Savoir Faire' service, Sabena guarantees your next trip to the U.S. or Canada can be not only destination-convenient but civilized, too.

Yes....indeed, like "qnnm" here above mentioned .
SABENA did fly to Montreal AND Toronto.
Toronto was serviced by a DC10 but Montreal (during quiet a while) by B747. At the very end Montreal was serviced by a MD11 from former City Bird.
The cockpitcrew was Birdy, but cabincrew SABENA.

Didn't the cockpitcrew have a Birdy-contract ?
I know they were Sabena pilots

Indeed, I can confirm that both cockpit and cabin crew were SN personnel.
They flew the Citybird MD11 under the Citybird FOM and under the authority of the Citybird Director of Operations.

They are also looking for a marketing assistant.

They are creating a small but good team, 15 persons, for developing a good market for their flights to Brussels. Can be potential for Brussels.

Next destination in Europe is Paris.

Hello

Great News!
*zucht* read the post of VEX a couple of times more ... he mentioned 4 times they will use the 332 and no other plane
Yeah...what did you hope for?? EY's 763?

Good they use the 332. It's time for some real nice buisness. :P:P Maybe once they'll send the 388 since it must be one of EY's longest rougtes.

Best regards: Yannick ;)

We are now waiting for the Etihad commercials in Brussels for flights to Dubai. SN Brussels has started the promotion for flights to Toronto, at €552:
