Anyway, I think that if people have the choice between narrow body and wide body aircraft, they will go for the wide body, even if the seat pitch on the A319 is acceptable...
Most airlines like AF, BA and others flying with wide body aircraft offer an even better seat pitch and wider seats, personalized inflight entertainment (choice of movies, interactive games, etc) and a choice of meals. All this cannot be provided on the A319 !

The strenght of SNBA on the TLV route is that the flights offered are direct flights, so no stop-over nor transit for pax.

As far as I know, SN has 6 flights during the summer season to TLV and 4 during the winter season. So I don't think SN is reducing the number of frequencies to TLV just because of the codeshare agreement with LY, but rather because the winter season starts.

The difference as a business class passenger to fly in a narrow or wide body airplane is not that important. I flew the BA 320 BRU-LHR and saw the speed on the screens at + 900 km/h.
The level was 36.000 feet, very stable flight , except of the last 10 minutes during landing at BRU.
I am sure that a modern A319 to Tel Aviv will attract business passengers. Reliability, flexability, easy check inn compared with the 2 hour interrogation by El Al, good mileage programs, professional attitude, all those things will convince the real business traveller. And be sure, a 2+2 seating at the front of a A319 will give them a confortable ride.

I also don't think that the total numbers of flights by SN will be reduced. According to their announcement nothing mentioned about that even that El Al took over some flights. So, for the moment don't worry.

For the moment 9 flights a week are very nice, a/c always full. This is a very good destination for SNBA. I'm wondering, could there be an other Mid-East destination for SNBA with the same level like tel Aviv?

About the A319, some of the members - some posts above this - the discussion was not if this a/c wasn't good enough for Tel Aviv, but for DKR. The A319 to Tel Aviv is a good choose. Modern aircraft, good service. Perfect for this destination.

Good news that SN is codesharing with ELAL, BUT, in my point of view, the 319 of SN is totaly not appropriate for this route. The SN 319 has only 1 toilet for the all economy class (116pax),1toilet in the front for the c/cl, NO video programm is showing (only the airshow),NO music programm. Compare to ELAL which has in the 737 a real c/cl section with real c/cl seats,3 toilets at the back,a non stop movie and music programm.
SN and LY have a very good inflight crew, friendly and professional. Good catering at both.
SN should improved the entertainment and facilities onb the 319.

First of all the BRU-TLV flight is between 3h55-4h15 flightime and the TLV-BRU flight between 4h20-4h40,so not 6hrs like somebody mentioned on this forum.
I reckon you mean my comment, but this was aimed at the fact that I didn't think the A319 was suitable for operations to Africa (which do have 6hrs fying time). I also pointed out that TLV, DAM BEY and AMM are on the border what business pax view as accpetable, thus I didn't imply the A319 wasn't suitable (KL uses the 737 to TLV, DAM, BEY and AMM while BA uses the 321 to DAM, BEY and AMM).
