Spottersmeet in BRU: Sunday 21st August

Post by MD-11er »

Hi,

yesterday was another day of fun at the 25L.
Not so much for the spotting as it wasn't really a busy day but mostly for the people standing their and because of the luck we had for once with the weather.

As a lot of people asked me already in last weeks and yesterday evening again when it would be possible to meet again all.

Here is a date: August 21st

I picked up a Sunday as some spotters are still working in the week and other students might be having their jobs as students aswell.
I think this might be a excellent day.
For those of you with exams begin September you still have a week after it to start your blok, and week before is very unconviniant as we have Marktrock in Leuven and the first weekend of september after the second chance to go a level higher on shool is traditonally 'The Gordel' around Brussels and I think a lot of people here will participate on that one aswell
So August 21st it will be.

Rules to come to the spottersmeet:

- Everybody is welcome
- To bring along with you are: your smile, good stories, pics to share, camera, pen and paper for the reg spotters...
- Can somebody also arrange it that we could have some sun

Who is not welcome:

- People who wants to make a competition day of it (with the mentality of my pics are always better than yours)
- People who will try to bring the atmosphere down.

If you want to come the 21st send me a PM I will try to make a list with all people coming.

For those who won't make themselve know by name it is no problem to give me your nickname only.

MD-11er

Oh Yes will someone take care of fresh Jupiler for me please :D

My BRU spot this year will be 7th September, I'm not free on any Sundays as I have other things planned for the weekend when we are in Belgium. I am hoping to bag the IB CRJ on the Wednesday as it is due in at 1pm according to the IB timetable.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Hi MD-11er,

I would love to be there. Chances are I might be on a holiday then, but it's not 100% sure.

So, I'll write it down in my agenda and if I'm not on a holiday, count me in (for a 6-pack of cool Jupilers) ;-)

Dear Mr MD-11er ;)

I would have loved to be there but as I said to you yesterday evening in the chatbox, not during my exams please !!!

My first exam is on monday 22/08 so it'll be impossible for me to spt and have some beers with you guys on the 21st. I hope you understand.

Anyway, next time you'll go to AMS I'll be there and we'll have some beers over there. Is that ok ? :)

Cheers
Chris

Good chance I will pass by in the afternoon, depending on when I'll get back from Pukkelpop. Probably see you then ;-)

I don't know if you have ever had Exams on University-level, but a week of studying is not enough !
Don't get me wrong, I would love to come, but I'd rather mis a spottersmeet then do my second year again ...

I will come to BRU somewhere between August 10th and 17th. Don't know which date yet, but I will post it on Luchtzak as soon as the date has been decided.

I know that that is why if I were you I would already start study now take a break and on the 21st.

Avro I didn't know yours started the 22nd. I thought it was like in the first week of September. :?

If the date is to difficult for most of you, no problem to propsose another day. 8)
But then I am sure everybody will come with another day and we will never be able to find a day that suit everyone.

I just picked a date like that,

You'd allready be too late if you would start studying now. I started studying Mid-July !

Mine start 22nd too ... although I only have my first exam on the 26st :?
Anyway, I won't be there on 21st, but I'll keep you informed on next week. Then I will take my break  and come to BRU.

Indeed. That is why you'll never have a meeting where everyone is there ! Just stick to the date and see who's passing by.
