This news is only in the English version of the site, no mention of it in the Polish version.
It is also not yet possible to actually book the flight or check the schedule. I am very interested whether the departure time from KTW to AMS at such a time that it is possible to travel from WAW by train (or bus) and catch the plane the same day, quite unlike SkyEurope from KRK.
On AMS-WAW there are three daily KLM flights and three daily LOT flights. With LOT you can get a return flight for 216 euro if you book sufficiently in advance, or something like that (it's never entirely clear when you can fly cheap, they don't show a price calendar like KLM does). With KLM I just found a return flight leaving *TOMORROW* for 223 euro (lowest price you can get with them). Prices are including taxes.
The SkyEurope flights on AMS-WAW did not appear to be hugely popular, they reduced the frequency twice before stopping altogether (they stopped some flights from WAW because they had a conflict with the airport). The flights were never full.
I know I don't speak for everybody, but I didn't fly with them because their flights were in the middle of the day. With KLM or LOT I can fly to WAW friday after work, and get back still on time for work on monday. Their flights were in the middle of the day.

Earthman means, when you want to travel low cost from AMS to WAW, It is better to go through KRK (with Skyeurope)(so still take a train) than through KTW, due to the fact that the flight to katowice arrives at 23:00... which makes it hard to catch a train to Warsaw.
I normally go from cologne with germanwings (tickets including tax starting at 19 euro's... which is way cheaper than both Wizzair and Skyeurope) ), It still takes me 4 hours to go to CGN, but from KRK/KTW to warsaw centrum will take about the same amount of time.
And yes.. they cancelled this route
