http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/co ... 49,00.htmlAIR New Zealand will cancel up to 30 per cent of its long-haul flights - including 14 from Australia - during a series of 48-hour strikes due to take place over the next two weeks.
Over 8000 passengers flying to and from Australia are expected to be affected by the cancellations after a breakdown of talks with the Flight Attendants and Related Services Association, representing 1000 Air NZ long-haul cabin crew.
The airline faces three separate stoppages starting on July 18, 21 and 24. Last night it said it had no choice but to implement contingency plans it estimates would affect about 14,000 Air NZ passengers. The plan will see 15 to 20 international flights cancelled a day.
