Hi al,

A friend of me send me these pictures. He saw something strange in the sky when he was taking pictures on a wedding.

I think It's a plane with an engine problem, the picture was taken in Tielt near leuven.

Any info is welcome.

That's a strange thing indeed.

Can you give us the date and hour of the day when the picture was taken ?

Strange indeed, some joke I think.

The close up: this "thing" is very low to the ground.

There was nothing mentioned in Belgium or neighbour countries about an aircraft with engineproblems.

It's like we said in this time of the year: it's "komkommertijd".

Bart, a missile launch in Belgium, that won't be here within the next 100 years

Or another possibility is that the picture is taken near Cape Canaveral, when they were just launching another rocket to space

André, i mean that there won't be a missile launch IN Belgium.

Hey about the Cape canaveral launch possibility: Have you ever seen a shuttle launch? The shuttle wouldn't bank like in the pic until it was ten thousands of feet higher. I didn't see this launch in particular but I have seen launches, and in my non-expert uneducated opinion it's not a shuttle.

It would surprise me if it was a Patriot batterie you were commanding!
As far as I know the Belgian air defences are still in the prehistoric stage with, is it, their NIKE batteries?
A Belgian Patriot launch will be, as vliegtuigfreak says, not within 100 years (at least)

Looks like a overheated flying BBQ to me.
It is not noisy, because the people are looking in the other direction.

In Thailand one can see more of these pictorial phenomena: but then it are storks that ate too spicy thai food, trying to get rid of flatulence during take off.
