Martinair's "new" B767

Here is the first picture of the "new" Martinair Boeing 767:

The aircraft is a Boeing 767-33A/ER, and has previously operated with Euro Atlantic Airways as CS-TLM. Martinair will operate the aircraft under the registration "PH-MCJ". The aircraft has been painted into a interem color scheme, probably because it would have taken too much time to paint it as a whole (busy times are ahead in Holland). Same goes for the ArkeFly B763's, they also didn't receive their full color scheme.

Nevertheless, I dislike the livery PH-MCJ is in now, but I'm not particularly fond of Martinair's new color scheme either. I liked the old one much more, it had more color in it and some kind of classical touch.

It's good to see Martinair expending.

some corrections on your fleetlist:

- the B747 only operates as freighter and will not beused for pax. B747 will be replaced by B747-400 ex-SIA form next year
- the B737-800 leased from Mimai Air is not based in Miami but in San Jose Costa Rica. Is mainly used for feeder SJO-MIA-SJO for the MP flight AMS-MIA-AMS daily. Also operates few times to MCO from SJO
- 2 MD 11 only in summer in pax config for charterflights within europe (1 may-oct and 1 jul-aug).
- B767 (MCJ) added to the fleet due to ICA expansion obo Thomas Cook Netherlands and Belgium

Nedlloyd has been bought by Maersk last month. This means that MP is owned by 49.9 % by KLM and 50,1% by Maersk (for your info Maersk air division has been bought by the new owner of Sterling (Icelandic) last week).
If KL will incorporate MP totally, there must a permission of the EU-commission due to monopoly of the KL group in the Netherlands.

Sorry snowbird but as far as I know it is a 50-50 ownership!
I picked this piece of info from the information of the KLM group (in dutch):

Zoals enkele jaren na de oprichting van Martinair, toen Schröder om met zijn bedrijf te kunnen blijven groeien een stevige kapitaalsinjectie nodig had en 35 procent van zijn aandelen verkocht aan KLM. Inmiddels is dat belang uitgebreid tot 50 procent. Nedlloyd heeft de andere vijftig procent van de aandelen Martinair in zijn bezit. KLM wilde dit aandelenpakket overnemen, maar blies de transactie af toen bleek dat Brussel geen toestemming zou geven.

It says that Mr. Schröder needed money for Martinair and sold 35 % of his stock to KLM. By now this is up to 50% of the stocks and 50% is in the hands of Nedloyd (now Maersk of even better Sterling?).
KLM wanted to have the other 50% also but stopped the transaction when they realized they never got approval from Brussels.
